David Anderson (CROCODILE)

Bullshare - 25 May 2004 10:53

It is with deep regret I have to inform everyone that Dave Anderson(Crocodile) sadly passed away last night in his sleep.

This is a complete shock to all his family and friends, therefore can I ask everyone to respect their privacy and not phone his home etc.

David was the most likable and open person I have ever met and a huge friend of mine and MoneyAMs.

Whatever I post will never come near doing justice to this great man, so I will simply stop here.

Mike

20.13 I have had a few brief conversations with David's family today. Despite all that has happened they have managed to briefly log onto MoneyAm and seen the numerous postings. I know they are moved by the response. The family are in the process of organising David's funeral but matters are slightly complicated with the Bank Holiday weekend. I will post more in due course when I have some more information.

26 May :I have received many many e-mails with offers of help and offers of sympathy. Many thanks for all these and apologises if I have not been able to reply but I will get round to it. I will also make sure those that have asked me to pass on any messages to Davids family get sent on.

In the meantime I know many of you are wondering what happened. At this stage it is not for me to go into details but suffice to say it is of a natural cause and totally unexpected.

David had withdrawn a little from the site over the last few weeks as he felt he wanted to devote more time to looking after Maria who is very poorly. Although he did not post much in the day I do know he was constantly logging on. He still continued to burn the midnight oil to create each day traders thread and he would spend about 15 hours each weekend creating the Weekend/Monday thread.

16.34 26/May Have come off the phone from Rachel(David's daughter). Today is not an easy day for the family, I think they were so busy yesterday that today has been harder as it has had time to sink in. We talked about Funeral arrangements and Rachel mentioned that they could not book anything yet but will let me know as soon as possible. She mentioned once again about all the postings which they have been busy reading and thank everyone for all the kind words and thoughts. They will arrange a public funeral as they know a lot of people would like to attend.

A message from David's Family:(posted on David's website Snappytrader.com)

The Croc lives on for a lot of people... :)

Is it really 10 years since you left us Croc, so sadly missed by us but never forgotten.

Croc watched the 'bots' in action on Level 2 and told us a bit about how he had analysed some of the techniques and settings to do with how they worked, what to look for and how to use them to your advantage too.

I admired him greatly and felt he was an interesting 'businessman', who was good at getting one thing to lead to another. He did seem to always use a 'Win/Win' approach in his relationships with his friends and contacts.

10 years that have flown by. Pity those divi plays don't work as well
as they used to. Always grateful for the advice received and still afloat
so something must have sunk in.

Remember visiting him about a week before the tragic news, amazing that its been 11 years.

klal - 25 May 2015 20:03 - 294 of 321

Just a few weeks ago while clearing out old papers, came across a printout from one of Croc's Monday posts - it was about the importance of the two day trend channel of the FTSE. Filing it away to make sure I never lose it. You will never be forgotten, Croc.
