THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

My guess is that India is deflating the real cost of the trip to Mars. They want appear to be doing it very cheaply for a host of reasons, with just one being the possible backlash regarding aid payments. I have heard a number of scientists expressing doubt about India's costings.

I noticed it didn't mention who was carrying out most of the persecution. It's also funny reading some of the comments to see that people think it's only Christians that are in danger and that Atheists have nothing to worry about.

Why didn't those Labour ministers under Blair and Brown like Jack Straw speake out about the problems of uncontrolled imigration , we all know now that Blair and certain people close to him kept it secret , but I bet Camball and Manelson knew.

fred - a day or two ago, you commented that doctors should work harder and lonfer etc etc

just for the record, my d-in-law is a gp
her working day starts at 08:00 and runs to 18:00 for surgery - typically 30 patients in that time ...... assuming all patients have turned up on time, she'll finish at about 19:00 having spent an hour catching upon phone calls, referrals and paperwork

doesn't work hard enough?????

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2013 13:05 - 32876 of 81564

Then perhaps your d-in-law should a closer look of how she is working, what she is accomplishing and whether her problem resolving methods are the best approach,

Also, as the government is constantly suggestion she may be able to increase her efficiency.

Also, check her auxiliary staff and whether that can be raised to reduce her "workload" even if that reduces her profit margins.

cynic - 16 Nov 2013 14:31 - 32877 of 81564

no fred, it just shows you're shooting from the hip and don't have the remotest grasp of the facts

so when you have done some homework and perhaps worked at the coalface you'll be able to make a sensible contribution instead of just talking total and utter balderdash

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2013 15:33 - 32878 of 81564

Cynic,

From close observation, and evaluation of practice, I guess I know more about medical general practice and hospital practice than you will ever know. That might even go for you d-in-law as well, but not having met her I would not be that sure.

cynic - 16 Nov 2013 15:40 - 32879 of 81564

clearly you do not though I know you spout away as if you know everything about everything including how to run the economy, the NHS and government in general

in fact, you're just a soapbox ranter who should just retire like the OAP you are and play dominoes in the pub with MrT

Chris Carson - 16 Nov 2013 15:45 - 32880 of 81564

cynic - beats me why you even bother to converse with this moron! Obvious he stands in front of the mirror in his red jim jams every night chanting "Why Am I So Great, Oh Why Am I So Great" :O)
