The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Meldex International Plc. said it is not aware of any business reasons for the recent decline in its share prices.
The specialty pharmaceutical and healthcare company also clarified recent speculation regarding a possible rights issues, and said it is not engaged in such an exercise.

Scotinvestor, I suspect the reason for higher sp is the notion that the shares are undervalued. Quite why I don't know, but newsflow of "Bids" sure helps.
....the sp-decline, is a result of all value having been wrung out of "Takeover" Talk.
Incidently, you said you'd received about 3k in dividends - er, when? - I'm not aware this Co. ever pays dividend. ( including BioProgress days).
Furthermore with so much debt/shares in issue any sensible payout would be very costly and hardly covered by their income/profits....
I suspect the sp isn't yet "fair value" . . . .say 25p-ish . . . and I might Buy.

Why buy shares in a company purely on the basis of takeover talk which may eventually turn out to be spurious? Even at 25p these shares may be overpriced only their actual results audited under IFRS standards may prove otherwise.

they had meeting on monday with major shareholders etc.....also HL were present which suggests that companies are still negotiating.
however RT thinks company is worth at least 175p.....so its all confusing with current share price.
i'll look at this in 12 months time i think and hopefully we will be nearer the pound mark

ALSO THERE HAS been a major seller for long time now every day who is selling at no matter the price......i notice a 300,000 sell today under the trading range.....maybe thats the end of the large sells as its been about 1.5 months of this......the people responsible for selling at any price are cretins as they obviously dont care about the company as they have dragged it so far down each day

Which RT is that....the one that took out over 600k from the company last year?
I don't think he cares what it's worth as long as he keeps it independent if he can get away with paying himself such a scandalous sum of money...especially after exercising options a little while ago, granted to him at next to nothng, and within a year or so, selling the stock and turning a further 700k profit.
If that ain't crooked, I don't know what is. Its' time the ordinary shareholders reacted to such a blatant rape of their company.

i think the options are at 1.37 or therabouts and others are much higher.
i agree about his salary but theres much worse things in country starting with government, then local councils etc
ps: uk seems to be more corrupt as days go on with crime soaring.......locally here at weekend it was reported that east european gangs are stealing from old age pensioners etc., at least 50 have been robbed locally.

Much worse things in the country? maybe...but if you like the CEOs of your company rapipng you in broad daylight and don't mind them doing so, then that's your lookout.
I think you'd be quite hard pressed to find a CEO that has taken so much for himself outside of a Mid 250 stock. That should put things into slightly more perspective.

So, are 'we' coming to the conclusion that, under the guidance of a less self-centred CEO, Meldex should prosper and the share price rise from todays levels? If so, the solution seems very simple....
