Court's discretion to admit fresh evidence was not exercised 2 March 2005
Stanelco Fibre Optics Ltd v Bioprogress Technology, Court of Appeal, 9 December 2004, Lawtel
Stephen Reese writes
The claimant's application to admit fresh evidence following the respondent's counterclaim for breach of confidence was not successful in this instance. The test for determining whether to admit new evidence as set in Ladd v Marshall was not fulfilled when applied to these facts.
There seems to be a lot of misinformation about the case - hope this link above to the full article will clear things up.

Balanced Quality post Eric, thanks on behalf of SEO.
A recent IHT gift.
Highly sucessful completed further trials.
Many new products proceeding through the stages to full commercialisation.
Permission to appeal and lodged.
Prior art.
I know we have much to await, 99% of it being good.
Good quality PR is a bonus (keep it up Howard/Ian), but only when the product(s) are market leading and revolutionary, ans SEO's are!

One thing that could seriously effect Stanelco is the introduction of laser sealing - read the link below from April 2005.
http://www.foodproductiondaily.com/news/news-ng.asp?n=59398-laser-sealing-could
This new laser sealing from Packaging Automation can be used on ambient temperature AND chilled oven ready meals amongst others. As the news came in April does it have any bearing on the Asda delays ? Laser is super flexible and new technology and with so many benefits.

Far be it for me to put a dampener on the achievements of SEO of which I am a modest shareholder, and thus have every wish for its success, but I think there is no harm in knowing what the opposition has up its sleeve. The link below to READY MEALS info gives a good idea of what laser sealing is all about.

garyble - my purpose is to post important links for people to do their own research - this latest news on Laser sealing can explain many things - the reason for the rush for US engineers when no orders for example - SEO would have known about the Laser success in March - it also explains the AGM comment of "standing still and losing" - it is of great importance for an SEO holder to research the potential of this new system - why buy a car for gas saving now that does 100 miles per gallon if you can wait a few months and get one that does 200 mpg and faster and more flexible.
The ramp crew will encourage you to squelch me - of course - they will not squelch me as you should never squelch anyone - any post from whoever may contain vital information.
Nobody else recently has posted factual new news on things that could effect SEO - I have - and they say squelch me - never mind - I just hope that people will do their own research and have available to them all the information - positive and negative.

Thanks Ashley for the info and driver for the comment. Worth knowing what's out there to help form our own evaluation of SEO's claims. We should continue to monitor the laser sealing option.

II & Ashley,
Well done sirs....keep up the sterling work!
Maybe a case of VHS/Betamax!!! Maybe not!!!
I feel the time is very near, and nothing to the contrary seems to offer as much potential.
Please keep up the alternative research and keep us posted.

I noticed that Stanelco made a posting - is this the real stanelco - or just someone posting as stanelco?.
If the real Stanelco - then welcome aboard - and its great that you are watching what is happening on the outside. You will also recognise that Bosley, Eric & GF are probably better than your own marketing team - and maybe you should offer them a role!! If not - then you are confusing me (I know -easily done!!)

Taken from another thread & answered more comprehensively a few weeks back when the same concerned person threw it into the pot:

Hi All,
As for the laser welding, I thought I had quashed that drivel 2 weeks ago, when I posted here that I had recieved e-mail from SEO HQ, stating that laser welding only works on CPET, that's it, end of story, no tray lidding or sealing of ANY OTHER PLASTIC, and NO theromoformed packaging, and on top of that it IS TOO EXPENSIVE ANYWAY, and so IT'S A NON-STARTER !!!!
Forget it !!!!
And filter the FULL TIME SEO BASHER 'insiderinside' !!!!
Then you won'yt have to put up with his lies, deciet, and total BASHING drivel !!!!
Cheers,
PM

Boys will be boys and looks like you are now fighting again. Please take your back stabbing to another thread, I will not filter anyone as I want to read all posts and from all posters for any information whatever it may be, filtering is akin to sticking your head in the sand and with your behind in the air, and you know what will happen. I am sorry Mr Paul Masterson (post 37789 of 37839) but I have been reading here for a long time and your comments of you never telling lies is not true, you claimed your web site is Stanelco approved and now Mr White of Stanelco has said this is not true, so you did lie.

You want the facts, go to http://www.stanelco.devisland.net the website that Stanelco HAVE APPROVED, and will soon LINK TO, when the new official website is rolled out !!!
.
"Having taken this thread offline (SharesForum April 25th 2005) for a day whilst I spoke to Howard White (Stanelco Executive Director), I can now bring it back online having edited/moderated several posts.
I can confirm that the stanelco@aol.com email address is correct.
However, Mr White confirmed that Stanelco have NOT given their approval of Paul Mastersons website. They may link to it, however, providing the content remains of a factual nature, which Mr White believed it did the last time he looked at it (which was not recently, however).
He said I could quote Stanelco's view towards the aforementioned site as a benign one. They do not approve of people aggressively promoting the stock and do not wish to be associated with such actions."
From my contacts Mr Robert Duggan of Stanelco (Director and Company Secretary) was also contacted and he gave the same comments as above that your website is NOT approved by Stanelco, which my contacts have copied the email to me, also noting that the stanelco@aol.com investor relations email will be changed very soon to investors@stanelco.co.uk
I write the above as I was tricked by you for a time into believing your site was Stanelco approved, and for which I now despise you. I have sold recently and will observe only now. Since Mr Whites comments you have stopped claiming that your website is approved and also stopped the constant posting of misleading figures in general, now it seems you are out to slander BPRG and argue on the Stanelco thread about BPRG.
The most relevant research is the latest report from KBC Peel Hunt who are the broker for Stanelco. Mr Duggan also stated that KBC are the official company brokers.
http://www.kbcpeelhunt.com/pdfs/Stanelco22Apr05.pdf
Mr Duggan also advised in that email I have a copy of, that investor relations advice is received from Financial Dynamics, the contacts are Mr Jonathon Brill and Mr Billy Clegg, 020 7831 3113
I will return to watching and reading, but please try to keep petty arguments off of this thread as I will not use a filter on anyone, just nice to keep things Stanelco related for us watchers and not a loud mouthed argument over BPRG.
As much as I would wish to filter you Mr Paul Masterson, I will not as filtering is stupid and as I want to see what other lies you may be perpetrating on this board.

Nothing markusa - just to allow people the information to do their own research.
Garyble - in reply to the post on Laser / CPET - which I have yet to see any official notice of laser only being able to be used on CPET you must remember -
SEO trials were also on CPET
LONDON (AFX) - Stanelco PLC said an ASDA product packaged using Radio
Frequency Technology will appear on the supermarket's shelves from today.
The RF applications group said this follows a trial with ASDA for its high
integrity sealing of Microwaveable Food Trays (CPET). Under the shelf life
trials the group said both microbiological and organoleptic tests produced
encouraging results. Chief executive Ian Balchin said he looks forward to progressing the relationship with ASDA towards a long term commercial agreement as soon as possible.
You have to use CPET for ready meals as APET is not microwavable or able to be used in a normal oven - the green issue is to replace bad PVC with CPET/APET.
