Please tell us what the spaniard has achieved since he was appointed ceo?

iturama - 14 Dec 2011 17:06 - 3683 of 5370

The spaniard has achieved nothing. Antio Horta-Osio is portuguese.

halifax - 14 Dec 2011 17:08 - 3684 of 5370

whats the difference?

iturama - 14 Dec 2011 17:15 - 3685 of 5370

One comes from Spain, the other Portugal...

halifax - 14 Dec 2011 17:20 - 3686 of 5370

so what has he achieved during his tenure?

iturama - 14 Dec 2011 17:25 - 3687 of 5370

Don't know but he has his cv ready just in case...

TANKER - 15 Dec 2011 08:09 - 3688 of 5370

so we now have a incapable person at the top that about sums up this bank

ahoj - 15 Dec 2011 08:12 - 3689 of 5370

....
The rules governing compensation have changed several times since 2001, with savings up to 85,000 being protected if a bank goes bust, compared with a limit of 31,700 in the autumn of 2007 when the run on Northern Rock happened. ......

31,700 to 85,000 protection ah! Gordon Brown's fault (under his watch) of course, Or was it George Brown or even this one perhaps -):

TANKER - 15 Dec 2011 14:47 - 3692 of 5370

lost for answers if lloys as to sell these branches what does
this mean to the eu banks that have had gov cash

ahoj - 15 Dec 2011 14:53 - 3693 of 5370

What is the consequence for LLOYDS?

Is it important at all?

TANKER - 15 Dec 2011 14:57 - 3694 of 5370

why did lloys go to all the trouble to buy hbos then start to sell at a loss

Stan - 15 Dec 2011 15:02 - 3695 of 5370

It's all his fault --- http://www.godofhellfire.co.uk/60s.htm

kernow - 15 Dec 2011 15:05 - 3696 of 5370

It raises capital and reduces overheads. Since most of the disposals relate to duplicate premises e.g. C&G branch in same location as another Lloy the consequence should be minor. At the end of the day Lloy is now much bigger than competition laws would probably have allowed - it was the circumstances of the takeover/rescue that allowed that inconvenient obstacle to be ignored. However bigger aint necessarily better as RBS knows but .... I'm still keeping these as a core holding in my SIPP and trading a bit on the side for the see saws.

TANKER - 15 Dec 2011 15:25 - 3697 of 5370

yes i agree

skinny - 15 Dec 2011 15:52 - 3698 of 5370

Blimey!

Stan - 15 Dec 2011 15:57 - 3699 of 5370

I second that.

ExecLine - 15 Dec 2011 17:05 - 3700 of 5370

I see Osario has made a decently good gesture and bought 150,000 LLOY ADRs at about $1.51308 per ADR.

That's very nice.
