Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Dil - 28 Jun 2016 10:32 - 3781 of 12628

Lol did anyone just watch Farage speaking in the EU parliament ?

Dil - 28 Jun 2016 10:33 - 3782 of 12628

Le Penn is now ripping into them.

iturama - 28 Jun 2016 11:18 - 3783 of 12628

If the EU Parliament wants us to invoke article 50 now, it can't be in our interest. Let them wait until we are good and ready. As for Junkcer, he is not a robot, he is an irrelevant drunk.

MaxK - 28 Jun 2016 11:35 - 3784 of 12628

I caught a bit of Farage letting rip.

He cheered them up no end by calling them in effect nonsense peeps who have never had a real job.

MaxK - 28 Jun 2016 11:39 - 3785 of 12628

Dave's got a new job

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 11:52 - 3786 of 12628

I think he would be crap as a car salesman Max ,if that Mini was 8k i bet i could drive away in it for 4 .All you have to do with Dave is tell him NO ! job done .

Dil - 28 Jun 2016 12:02 - 3787 of 12628

Just heard England have started a petition to have the match against Iceland replayed as they didn't like the result.

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 12:12 - 3788 of 12628

Farage was jeered by the European Parliament.

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 12:12 - 3789 of 12628

Not much point with that one ,they'd probably lose again .

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 12:13 - 3790 of 12628

Osborne is not going to stand for PM.

And Theresa is getting close to Boris's odds.

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 12:13 - 3791 of 12628

Wow Haystack ,you don't say ,what a surprise ! Farage not flavour of the month at the EU.

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 12:14 - 3792 of 12628

Yes i'm for signing it, even if we've got to vote 5-10-15-20..A 1000 times
until we beat them..The law of averages says we should succeed eventually,
I don't care if its on the 999th time of trying..

We will overcome, eventually?

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 12:16 - 3793 of 12628

Liam Fox looks a dark horse, and he was a Brexiteer...

If i was a tory, which i'm not, thats the geezer i'd vote for..

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 12:24 - 3794 of 12628

Liam Fox is a Brexiter and lost badly in the PM vote last time when Cameron won. He won't win. He is not popular enough among the MPs. Don't forget the MPs cut the number down to 2 before putting them to the membership. He was knocked out at an early round.

Courtesy of "wiids" on another thread.............. how many of us think on the same way

re - The Iron Lady
Today 12:03
What I wouldn't give for Mrs T to be able to come back for two years, just for two years, to handbag these faceless unelected Eurocrats who think they are going to make it diffficult for us. She'd wipe the floor with them.

"They're a weak lot in Europe you know," she once said. "Weak. Feeble."

I miss her, and I hope if she's looking down she's proud of us.

Fred1new - 28 Jun 2016 12:32 - 3796 of 12628

Haze,

Wasn't that due to

Former defence secretary Dr Liam Fox has resigned following a week of revelations about links to best man Adam Werritty. Fox's conduct was called into question after his close friend and "unofficial adviser" Adam Werritty joined him on 18 different meetings overseas. The Defence Secretary’s most senior official admitted that Dr Fox had dozens of private, unrecorded, meetings with Mr Werritty, who ran a defence business, over the past 16 months.

But that may be standard practice for the tories?

Have a feeling your Maggie's son had a few suspicious "arms" deals with her help when she was PM.

Upright honourable politicians is what is needed.

LOL

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 12:32 - 3797 of 12628

Agree with the above , that's just who we need ,they don't make them like that any more .
Fred would love to see her back .

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 12:34 - 3798 of 12628

Haystack, like i said, i'm not a tory, i don't trust non of them, its just
Liam Fox is about the most trustworthy.

Snake oil salesman no2, osborne has said he won't be running for the
leadership after coming to the conclusion what a little shit he is...

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 12:35 - 3799 of 12628

William Hill have now given Theresa May better odds than Boris.

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 12:37 - 3800 of 12628

William Hill wasn't one of those who had 'remain' as favourites were they?.
