I go out for a walk for an hour, come back and the FTSE is down another 100!
Anyways, Countrywide. If it's an OO at 10p why is the share price 19p?? No matter I won't be buying regardless. Don't like this sector although I should probably get over that. Horrible chart. Estate agents charging crazy margins for selling properties is over. Not sure Purple Bricks have got it right either. Valuation on that looks crazy to me but hey what do I know.
Today we go up. Hurrah. Carney outweighs a poor PMI or maybe a reading of 53.8 although a miss, still reflects growth and optimism?
I've now given up day-trading after another crap day last week. Same old story, spend 2 months making money and then a string of bad trades take 80% of it away. Just not worth the time and effort. I've better things to do than sit at a desk all day taking a few points only to get toasted by some irrational trades which probably reflect someone is a large amount of pain on a trade.
I've also come to realise that my view on share valuation is out of line with the market. The pessimism in the market right now is clearly much higher than my reading based on what I see around me. i think it's starting to turn my way but only very slowly.
I found this helpful.

Mr. Woodford and his funds I find interesting. I am very comfortable with his ability to read the overall market direction on a macro basis. I'm far less impressed with the execution by his team in picking individual stocks.
I must admit I am cursing the market and myself every day.
Up until the end of May was doing well, but last 2months feel as if I have had my teeth taken out without an anaesthetic.
Every time I think the market I found direction after digesting recent results it suggests that I have missed more information than I usually do.
SBs are about 2% holdings and I "think" are beginning to be a help rather than a "hindrance", but only SBs I have are in Banks.
