most likely another deal will come quick because other phone manufacturers will not want to miss out on a device that could determine sales especially as the device is better for health reasons!
Government could impose phones to use their product again for health reasons!

Sorry hondaman but this whole health argument is false. We already have speakerphones that operate away from the head, and earpieces etc to do likewise. So there is no reason why any government would favour one particular gadget that does no more than the same as far as health is concerned, just because shareholders in NXT want them to. Nice try, but it won't wash :-)

I'm with Juzzle on this one (nothing against NXT, it's a nice piece of technology).

The cellphone health thing will run and run. I've heard so much nonsense in the last few years about the effect of RF from cellphones and "phone masts" (cellular base stations) from newspapers and other people with space to fill on slow news days it just beggars belief.

Some seem to have forgotten the cash burn on this one.

Sorry but I know theres a lot of supporters here but the fact is even after this ones cost cutting exercise its still going to have to go 'cap in hand' to the city for more funds.

any comments on tomorrows expected results, anyone got an idea of what is to come, do you think there will be any deals with the results?

looks as the sentiment towards the resuls is bad lets hope they are wrong i was looking for 100p+ after the results will have to wait and see ?

Agree with Goldfinger,they have a great technology but need cash.No one knows what effect the results will have on the sp.hence the trepidation.Ready Steady Go!!!!

Doesn't look like they need to raise any further funds which is the major negative on the SP, should be positive going forward today!

interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2004.

Turnover increased by 5% to 1.2m, 16% US$ increase

Royalty receipts increased by 23% year on year

2.1m speakers shipped in first half, up by 50%

c.4m speakers shipped in calendar year 2004, up by 65%

Retained loss of 2.7m (H1 2003/4: 4.3m)

Net cash outflow of 2.5m, excluding reorganisation costs

Cash balance 5.4 million at 31 December 2004

First mobile phone launched by NTT DoCoMo in February 2005

Increased retail distribution in major markets


Commenting on the results, Gordon Owen, Chairman, said:

'With the NTT DoCoMo mobile, there are now NXT-enabled products in all the
target markets we first identified, including transport, computers and TVs, as
well as audio. We are working with our licensees to bring new products to these
markets in greater volumes. NXT is now focused on building on that success to
achieve long-term sustainable profitability and the board has confidence that
this will be achieved.'

How do you know the other companies have bailed out. I think there is huge potential in NXT technology in phones and also the sound bag product which is being launched early Summer 2005. Hold on to those shares, they will fly up.
