I've just nipped off to do some research in this company and come back to find that half the posts have vanished including a very good report about chinese prospects re Bejing games, passports etc. Some of the posts I read were wrong re price it's 32.5 today and I wouldn't have said the buying's all that great (moneyam figures) but it does sound like an interesting company. More info please.

Nice bit of news that could prove highly lucrative.
RC Group Holdings Limited that certain of its patent applications have been accepted by China.
The biometrics company said the applications relate to hardware products and proprietary IP technology for producing a long distance RFID sensor device and wireless RFID signal receiving sensor device.
The applications have been accepted in accordance with Article 28 of the Patent Law and Article 39 and 40 of the Implementing Regulations of the Patent Law.
Raymond Chu, CEO of RCG, commented: "The acceptance of the patent applications is a key milestone in the continuing development and commercialization of the Group's RFID technology.
"With so many potential applications particularly in the field of security tagging and tracking, we believe that RFID will supersede bar coding within the next few years. RC Group is now in an even stronger position to take advantage of this fast developing market."

It has been rather quiet on here for a while........
More patents were passed by the Chinese Government puting the company in prime position to get massive contracts before the Bejing Olympics. Security is a top issue now more than ever, its worth keeping a keen eye on this one.
Theres also been a secret investor taking over 5million shares off the major shareholder Off shore Group Holdings......
LONDON (AFX) - RC Group Holdings PLC said that its major shareholder The Offshore Group Holdings Ltd has disposed of 5 mln shares in the company to investors in Asia-Pacific.
Offshore Group retains an interest in 67 mln shares, or 63.02 pct of RC's share capital.

RC Group completes new security and surveillance product
AFX UK Focus
LONDON (AFX) - RC Group (Holdings) Limited has completed the development of its new Automatic SecuGate Inspection System which provides identification capabilities to international entry and exit inspection points.
The ASI system combines biometric identification technologies which include fingerprint, finger/palm vein and iris recognition with radio frequency ID technologies to enabling security services to identify, monitor and track individuals in and around secured areas.
RC said the system has been initially developed to provide a comprehensive security product for partners who are currently submitting tenders for the security contracts for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Dr. Raymond Chu, CEO of RCG, commented:
"The successful completion of the development of the ASI system is a further
demonstration of our commitment and capability to research and develop
cutting-edge technologies for the security industry. This latest system has the
capability to combine both biometric identification and RFID technologies and
firmly places the Group's products at the forefront of the security solutions
market. The international security markets are persistently faced with growing
security demands and it is our intention to research, develop and supply
technologies to support the efforts of the security services."

Surely more interesting than the 'secret asia' entities that snapped up the 5m shares is The Offshore Group Holdings which sold them the 5m. They still have a huge majority interest (though this is slowly being reduced by sales and dilutions).
It shall be interesting to see the fruits of their investment in European expansion, to see what progress the London office has made.
There was a mention hidden away in IC last week.

They are spreading themselves around the world and with th olympics destined for bejing this is surely a good long term punt. They have received a number of patents from the Chinese govt so im extremely interested to hear of their current and future postion on contract wins!
As for the secret purchasers of stock, the offshore group have been reducing their holdings incrementally to satisfy demand its always intriguing when this is happening especially when the company seems to be doing well looking forward to the results for some clarification

Today's RNS is VERY GOOD news:
RC GROUP (HOLDINGS) LIMITED
(`the Group')
Trading Statement
RC Group (Holdings) Limited, the leading international security systems
provider that specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of
biometric identification and RFID technologies, is pleased to announce that the
strong trading reported in the interim results for the period to June 2005
continued throughout the second half of the year.
As a consequence the Group expects to report full year results ahead of market
expectations.
Furthermore, the new financial year has begun with a strong base of satisfied
customers, a well defined and growing innovative product set and an encouraging
order flow. There continues to be significant opportunities in the markets the
Group seeks to dominate and the Board approach the coming financial year with
increasing optimism.
The strengthened cash position resulting from the Group's 11m fundraising in
October 2005 has enabled the Board to lead the consolidation and growth of its
target markets and at the year end stage the Group had available funds of
approximately 9m.
Dr. Raymond Chu, CEO, commented:
'I was particularly encouraged by the progress we made through the second half
of 2005 and look forward to reporting on our performance in mid April.
Following our successful fundraising in October of last year and the completion
of our acquisition of Skycomp in January of this year I firmly believe that we
have the products, R&D capabilities and sales channels to continue our strong
growth. In being able to respond quickly to our customers needs I also believe
that we have a great opportunity to be global leaders in our emerging sectors
of biometrics and RFID.'

Kivver, agree I sold half my holding in frustration and then they recovered to current levels. Still believe the upside is there to be had though in the long term, but perhaps needs greater recognition. I await the prelims with an air of expectancy..............

i think you have knocked the nail on the head there silver and its all about recognition and the market seeing the upside in a share, if the market doesnt recognise it or see it then we're in trouble, no matter how good a share is.
