how can you knock a banked profit of 30%?

chessplayer - 22 Jan 2009 07:16 - 382 of 594

I think that the answer to that is called "hysteria !"

The chart suggests more falls to come no position here.

Just can't get my brain into gear this morning but the way I read it, so long as Barclays don't need to raise any capital before June, the sp is efectively worth at least 1.50 and there is no chance that Brown & co will be able to nationalise the bank. If Barclays do have to raise capital, then in all probability the bank will fall into the hands of Sheikh Mansour and the Qataris, but the pi's won't loose their investment. Bad news for anyone shorting the share imo.

I told you wait till it reaches 40p wont be long now.

The problem is will 40p hold I'm beginning to doubt it still a good share to trade no mistake.

mitzy - 23 Jan 2009 09:30 - 392 of 594

cynic - 23 Jan 2009 09:35 - 393 of 594

I'm trying the "in and out game" with this stock...worked once so far !.

mitzy - 23 Jan 2009 09:38 - 395 of 594

I agree in and out is the best policy I reckon BARC will survive but in what form I dont know.

required field - 23 Jan 2009 09:59 - 398 of 594

Bought some this morning...might get my fingers burnt, ...(never catch a falling knife) but reckon this will rebound as not in the same amount of trouble as others, will wait if necessary !.

cynic - 23 Jan 2009 10:00 - 399 of 594

brave boy! ..... don't know at what level you bought, but LLOY is now heading sharply south again

required field - 23 Jan 2009 10:04 - 400 of 594

50.6p.....but won't touch LLOY....that could be nationalised...but BARC look a better bet....(I hope)...what am I saying...must be nuts...better have a look at those cornflakes I had !.
