ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Evening all,
Good recovery by ASC late this afternoon, looked for most of the day that support at 55p would be tested. On the plus side the overall uptrend remains intact, RSI remains reasonably positive, although with little momentum, and trading well within the Bollinger Bands. On the negative side, low volume, MACD Bearish MA crossover, looking to be followed by a MACD MA Centreline crossover. Difficult to say what's coming next, next week will reveal all. But 55p has proved good support thus far and no real reason yet to think otherwise. Although if 55p is breached stand by to see 45p. All IMHO of course.
regards
PTH

I cant see any reason for it to go to 45p. every time it wavers below 55p and support comes in.its definitaly pausing for breath, but i do not think for long

Press shows a close of 58p and there was no actual trading band centred as high as 58.5p. Given that there will be several mm's, I just don't know which price they take; they can certainly offer different prices. The 300K is marked as a T trade. Interesting that sells significantly outweighed buyers althoug price stregthened on day. There was a reasonably concerted buying effort from about noon which more than outweighed the heavier selling earlier in the day.

I think the significant fact is that we are in a relatively quiet, no news period, yet buyers are coming in around the 56p to 58p level. Given the near certainty that the next news will be very positive, although the interval could well be something like two months, there are unlikely to be many sales from genuine investors and it looks as though the 'evil' traders are not getting anywhere!

I agree with you. Pleased to see you buying YOO and joining the ASC v YOO challenge. Others are welcome to nominate a share to double quicker than ASC! Doubtful about BPRG which is already heavily capitalised.

How long will buyers keep coming in at the 56-58p level? The uptrend remains intact, but only if buyers keep coming in. As you say more buys than sells yesterday, a few more days like that and the uptrend will be broken. SP generally drift downwards on periods of no news. Agree that genuine investors may hang on, but those who bought in at low prices may well decide to take profits now and perhaps buy back in at a lower level.
Just playing Devil's Advocate!!
BPRG, a long way to go yet!! Couldn't tear myself away on Friday and the plot continues to thicken, wth the possibility of a SEO appeal, (waste of money if you ask me, even if they could afford it).
Look at Energy shares Eric, they are certainly the flavour of the month.

PTH

Great to hear views on the upwardly mobile shares. But the specific challenge is to nominate a share to double before ASC. Several of us who contribute to this column are pretty confident that ASC will double by, well, anthing between Xmas and next year's finals. My nomination is YOO. We can progress the challenge through these columns and it will be a chance to evaluate and perhaps invest in the other nominations.
Agree PTH. It turns out that our views only differ in short-term prices and therefore timing. From an investment standpoint I would like to see the price come back a bit for the time when I can increase the stake to its former levels. I think it more likely that it will meander around its current levels. Then we will start getting articles on who will benefit from the Xmas season in retail - and we know it will be ASC, ASC and ASC.

Nice write up in the womens section of todays Times, very encouraging to read but hasn't moved the SP much.

EWRobson:
Taking up your challenge and having already had one successful 'hunch' namely Epic Code PET. I submit PCI. News later this month, early next, could transform this SP currently at 15p with the current value of black gold ever increasing! PCI also has some good cash flow coming out of the Irish Sea from Gas deposits to fund many of it's exporation activites. So let's see. BUR went up 90p after I mentioned it to you so I am hoping this post brings the same luck!

blimey, I didn't think KMR ever got a mention on this site! Let's hope it does quadrouple in two years - I'll be laughing. Got to get to 17p to break even at the moment!

Super to have the nominations in the 'Beat ASC to double money' competition. Nominated to date against ASC at 56p are
PCI 15p by johngtudor
KMR 15p by Kivver
YOO 22p by EWRobson
Other nominations welcome! (pth? sandrew64? rkauser?) I'll aim to report progress monthly on this bb. PCI, YOO already have own threads and this bb should obviously focus on ASC. But I am always looking at my own holdings to see how they compete for funds with each other and against other tips whether on MoneyAM, Shares or wherever. If I believe, as I do, that ASC will double within six months, where does that leave my other holdings? Actually, there are only 4 in a 100K+ portfolio. ASC climbed to 70% of the portfolio as the price rose and is now down to 40% following profit-taking. I will certainly evaluate the nominations put forward in this column before adding to the ASC or other holdings - OK, there really should be an enregy share in there.
Sellers more prominent than buyers today yet price has still risen to 59.5 having touched 60.5. Back to the midpoint of BB's - any significance?

OK Eric put me down for PET, but I'm not sure what price you want to start from.I bought at 69p last Weds and it's now sitting at 133 which kind of gives me an unfair advantage (for now at least).Incidently, I would much rather ASC was in this position as I hold far more of these than PET.
By the way I placed an order on ASOS.com last week so I could see how easy the site was to use, quality of the goods, value for money, speed of delivery, etc.from a customers' as well as an investors' point of view and I was very impressed on all points. It was definately one of the easiest sites I've used for online shopping and the goods arrived 2 days after I placed the order which I thought was great especially considering I live near the far end of Cornwall. If they can continue that level of service I'll be suprised if they only just double in value.I'd certainly order again.
