Now that we all know what the prospects for MOS are i.e. damn good, thought I'd get a new thread going and just highlight MOS' attractions for any new investors.
Key highlights:
* Significant progress made, rationalisation programme almost complete
* Acquisitions integrated well
* International marketing network established
* Record order books, enquiry levels high, several new customers won
* Recent Director buys
From the Chairman's statement:
Outlook
Over the past year the management team has extended the product range, put in
place in-house manufacturing, rationalised the existing business and greatly
expanded the marketing effort, opening up significant new markets to MOS
products. Once the acquisitions have been fully integrated MOS will offer a
wider product range to a broader market and have a much reduced cost base. We
have record order books, we have attracted major new customers and we are
targeting new markets, worldwide. Overall, we have made good progress and the
outlook remains extremely positive.
Trading Update
MOS International PLC ('MOS'), the oilfield services company, announces that
trading is in line with market expectations. TURNOVER FOR THE YEAR TO 31st MARCH 2005 IS EXPECTED TO BE CIRCA 10M COMPARED WITH 1.05M IN THE YEAR TO 31st MARCH 2004.
MOS currently has an order book in excess of 7m for delivery prior to the year
end.
The recent acquisitions have integrated well, the rationalisation programme at
MOS is almost complete and that at Ansell Jones will be completed in this
financial year.
Tender and enquiry levels remain high and the Board is positive regarding the
future. Significant progress has been made and the business is well on the road
to recovery, with turnover forecast to show a further considerable increase, in
the next financial year.
On a turnover of 10million with a profit of say 1million, this company is on a P/E ratio of just 8 (market cap being around 8million at present). This company has been overlooked by the institutions and investors alike and is due a big re-rating soon IMHO. DYOR as usual.
Chad.

Small SP in small companies attract small shareholders (like me)??

Must say, I do like the colour blue. Nice steady buying all day with a few sells into strength, each for their own reason. Very happy to have caught the 0.4393 low to top up on Monday.
Looks like we'll end the day on strength which bodes well for next week.

its an odd illusion that some people have , buy a few thousand shares for a hundred quid, and they think that if it goes up that will be translated into
huge profits, and odd human predicament; also the feeling that you are somehow rich buy holding a half million shares , happens a lot with penny dreadfuls.
I have said for years it needs a re-shuffle to get rid of the "tinies", more sophisticated buyers are more likely to buy at 55p rather than 100th. of that,
probably another illusion but true- bit like the full moon at present I guess.

am I dreaming or did I read that there was a tranche of 40m shares issued some weeks back, which had to be absorbed, diluted or whatever, are these last minute T sells part of that???????????-whatever it is they are a real pain and fcuk the price up every day with their overhanging black cloud.

Hoot Hoot Owl!
I've been on hols for a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised when I returned yesterday to read RNS although can't really understand why sp is still so low after all recent activity . Thanks for letting me know about IC (sounds promising).
Very pleased about the hampster and even more pleased about recent news from Mos. The JV is excellent news and just what Moi needs to move onwards and upwards. Topped up yesterday. Still looking forward to the 6p party, I wonder when that will be?

Excellent email to Mos, it let them know exactly how we were feeling and will probably make them realise that they need to look at their PR.

Hopefully we will get some good press over weekend. Is it true that Crown Corp results are out 30thJune?

Welcome back, Chrissie! We missed you & you've missed loads of action - still probably having more fun sunning yourself on a beach somewhere! Don't worry about the SP - lots of M & T trades - some as large as 27M! sp fell on the share dilution, but is going back up fast. I'm moving funds this week to top-up for my business account - just hope it sticks around 0.53p or so. Bound to be short-term sellers after last week, however paying the spread will be costly now if people exit then try to re-enter when the real party begins (Aug-Oct IMO). Once crown (CCO)confirm their 240m, MOI should rise fast. IC should have article in next 2 weeks.

Morning all. Owl eyesSun/Mon 'The Business'. Good to see Clem C. applauding '....cheap oil services companies...good old fashioned turnover etc'. Doesn't quote MOI, but worth a read nonetheless.

the kiss of death for that clown to give a tip i`m afraid.
Yorkshire Group rings a bell, among others.

...checked with Backside. Current rules are only purchases/sales of 5% of company(used to be 3%), or more are notifiable...so it's unlikely we'll find out who bought (or was it sold?)that 27M last week.
Also the accounts for CCO have been audited, so auditors would be in trouble if the 240M cash for the JV was found not to be available.
MM's collecting stock again!! Probably means more news on the way.

..fortunately, he didn't tip MOI - just oil services, & need to include turnover (most people look instead at p/e, p/b, profit etc)...hopefully not so bad then?
I've still got more to buy at 0.40p.

This RNS may explain a few things - perhaps now the SP can find its correct level.

Apparently notifiable interest is 5%+ now (used to be 3%) - checked this with Bankside earlier.

Looks like the 6p party may be a while away, maybe we should have a 3p party, wonder when that will be? Have to say I don't really understand what's going on with the sale of 70M and sp but hanging in there, as I believe good things will happen over the next few weeks. Not long to wait now for results July/Aug.
