Bunny's Beer Basement (BEER)

stockbunny - 30 Dec 2008 08:02

OK temporary accomodation for us ex-pats of Spacie's coffee house that is sadly now boarded up and in memory of Goldie's old pad the tearooms.

No fancy stuff, as this is temporary until we find a nice new place but it's warm down here with the fire and aga and I've organised a daily guinness, lager and wine delivery. There is a small kitchen in the corner and a few comfy cosy armchairs.

So feel free to take refuge when you need a break - self-service generally I'm afraid but when I can I'll rustle up a meal :>)

No, in far more exotic North Wales! The Sainsburys species though is much rarer up here than in Brighton!!

We have an exotic Co-op here, well it is exotic in comparison to the corner shop I used to use!

Does it sell Kiwi fruit?

Socrates - 30 Jan 2012 15:33 - 4644 of 4886

Dunno! What do they look like?

skinny - 30 Jan 2012 15:50 - 4645 of 4886

I think this is a bunch -

kimoldfield - 30 Jan 2012 17:29 - 4646 of 4886

Nah Skinny, they are just a bunch of blokes boasting about the size of their kiwi fruit.

dreamcatcher - 30 Jan 2012 17:47 - 4647 of 4886

Why is it so cold, what happened to global warming? I need a nice cuppa.

kimoldfield - 01 Feb 2012 13:44 - 4649 of 4886

Cuppa coming up, I'll just chip the ice away first.

It appears that, for the earth to really warm up the polar ice caps have to melt entirely. Whilst the ice caps are melting huge chunks break away and start to float around the world, thus making areas that were previously warm, cold. This coldness in turn causes the area to freeze which then starts a new ice age.

Well, that's my theory anyway. It seems reasonable enough given today's temperature!

Bloody wimps

-12 here in Stockholm this morning. Bloody tropical in UK.

kimoldfield - 01 Feb 2012 14:39 - 4651 of 4886

I hope you've got your thermals on Jeff!

Socrates - 01 Feb 2012 15:08 - 4652 of 4886

Fine, I expect -12 in Stockholm, I'm in east Kent where I expect mild weather. Even the bird baths were frozen solid this morning. If it gets and colder I'll have to break out my long-sleeved pullies.

Socrates - 02 Feb 2012 11:08 - 4653 of 4886

Hung out my washing this morning, now got a bath towel that's solid like a sheet of hardboard. Still a bit cold!

More tea vicar?

kimoldfield - 02 Feb 2012 12:08 - 4654 of 4886

-4 here at the moment, slowly catching up with Stockholm!

Steaming hot tea. Great!

jeffmack - 02 Feb 2012 12:54 - 4655 of 4886

I moved further south yesterday evening. Now in a very cold Copenhagen.

kimoldfield - 02 Feb 2012 13:52 - 4656 of 4886

Are you on the run Jeff?!

Socrates - 03 Feb 2012 10:40 - 4657 of 4886

I think he is just doing his best to improve the UK balance of payments.

jeffmack - 03 Feb 2012 10:54 - 4658 of 4886

Exactly Socs. Uk later today...

back to blighty

kimoldfield - 03 Feb 2012 13:01 - 4659 of 4886

Just in time to catch -12 Jeff!

jeffmack - 03 Feb 2012 13:03 - 4660 of 4886

Although Stockholm and Copenhagen have been very cold, there has been little snow. So looks like it might be dumped on us at home this weekend.
