ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

cynic - 02 Jan 2014 15:33 - 4705 of 5941

thank goodness you had the sense to bank some/all profits
i am far from convinced that NXT's figures tomorrow will excite the market .... given that NXT's on-line biz has been doing very well (largest in uk i believe) i wonder if there'll be a knock-on effect
general market profit-taking prob won't do any favours either

An interesting list from 6 months ago :- Top 100 online retailers in the UK 2013

cynic - 02 Jan 2014 16:06 - 4707 of 5941

It looks like they update the list in January, so it should be interesting reading.

Shortie - 06 Jan 2014 16:47 - 4716 of 5941

Those candles are getting smaller...

cynic - 06 Jan 2014 16:49 - 4717 of 5941

the implication being?
sorry, i don't understand those things other than burning them at both ends etc

Shortie - 06 Jan 2014 17:01 - 4718 of 5941

Looks as though its topping out and could fall back to the 25DMA. Looking overbought right now, candles could well reverse this week. Could well be as much as 600 pts on the short, very high risk though.

Shortie - 06 Jan 2014 17:06 - 4719 of 5941

Worth also noting that this is a solid stock, look at the uptrend since 2003. Much of this stocks value is based on the companies ability to grow and expand those earnings forecasts which it has to date done a grand job of doing. There comes a point though when things start to look overdone... This could be what Apple shorting was to me last year!!

cynic - 06 Jan 2014 17:15 - 4720 of 5941

i have long (or short!) thought that ..... the big Q today is how good their numbers will be on 14th (next monday) ..... anything that remotely disappoints - and who knows what fancy numbers have been targetted - and the bottom will fall out

best bet, would be to short (i think) but with guaranteed stop ..... like you, i never use stops, but here it would be wise, and guaranteed would be essential i think
