Renesola - want to see huge growth ? Look no further !! (SOLA)

whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 13:28

Read the latest interims.......just make sure that you are sitting down.

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=SOLA&S

cynic - 12 Dec 2006 09:46 - 461 of 3050

no more handbags please ...... EK has made lots of mistakes for sure, but has also got plenty right ....... whether or not you agree with him on SOLA, or even just view sp as badly overbought, is entirely subjective

PW Carnell - 12 Dec 2006 09:49 - 462 of 3050

Sorry Dil, obvious on rereading-just paranoid about multiple posters.

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2006 09:56 - 463 of 3050

But hang on a minute, if he is Hedgehunter, then he has openly stated that he has no position in SOLA, and only wishes to keep investors warned of the pitfalls and weaknesses in the companys claims. Surely you don't suggest he is a secret shorter.??????

Dil - 12 Dec 2006 09:58 - 464 of 3050

GF is hedgehunter and whether he's shorting or not is up to him.

soul traders - 12 Dec 2006 10:36 - 465 of 3050

Morning all,

I have not yet had any response from SOLA regarding my mail about the disappearing profits in the investor presentation.

However, I think it is clear from the officially- released financials that the company is in profit and that there has been an editing mistake. Confirmation and correction would be very nice though!

Good to see support at 400p.

HARRYCAT - 13 Dec 2006 10:45 - 466 of 3050

Cynic (or anyone else)- the chart is no help at all here??? Or can you see a trend?
Bid 445 - Offer 452

soul traders - 13 Dec 2006 11:13 - 467 of 3050

Harry, I suspect things have been too turbulent for a trend to really establish itself. After all, the co has only been listed for around four months and in that time has made a series of spectacular announcements. The question from my point of view is more like, "What will the chart look like in twelve months' time if SOLA delivers what it promises?"

If you look at a chart of just the last ten days, the progression at present looks fairly smooth if you leave out the hump in the middle. More upside to come now that the initial profit-takers have had their day?

Clearly 400p was thought of as cheap

cynic - 13 Dec 2006 11:31 - 468 of 3050

you're right Harry ..... chart is totally meaningless; you just have to trade this share on gut instinct and perhaps watching the trend ...... e.g. 09:46 yesterday i thought the share o'bought and likley to consolidate at best, yet by midday i had decided that trend was resuming upwards and bought back in!

kitosdad - 13 Dec 2006 11:34 - 469 of 3050

" I just love borrowing Kitos stock to get a nice return. " This from a man ( GF ) who denies he is shorting SOLA, and maintains he is absolutely neutral. I hope he is getting well shafted today.

HARRYCAT - 13 Dec 2006 12:01 - 470 of 3050

So the question now is: "How realistic is a 8 target?"
With virtually no past graph to guide us, the greed/hope factor is ruling this.

soul traders - 13 Dec 2006 12:08 - 471 of 3050

I saw this hitting 8 without any stretching of the imagination based upon the figures already provided by SOLA in its quarterlies, applied to the projected output.

Then came Merrill Lynch and confirmed it.

Bear in mind that the price target is not what the co should be worth today, but on about a twelve-month view.

It is very definitely not about the past, but rather about what SOLA has said it will be doing. Given that they are already profitable and have forward sold so much of their upcoming production, I'd say it looks reasonably likely that 800p will be attained. That would be a PE of 32 on the old production target of 80 MW (which reflects current output capactiy; the co just hasn't had a full year of operating at this capacity); now that production is being ramped up so much the profits will increase further and the PE will shrink. It's all there in the figures.

I wouldn't be surprised if price target upgrades follow the 2006 FY results.

HARRYCAT - 13 Dec 2006 21:46 - 472 of 3050

The investor roadshow ended in the U.S. on monday & would be interesting to see if SOLA has benefitted at all.
I assume the proof will be in institutional investment from the U.S. & maybe a listing on the NYSE???
Interestingly, SOLA is listed on the Berlin Exchange (ticker VQK) & has gone from 1.47 in July to 7 now & has also just listed on the German XETRA & nearly doubled in price in 3 weeks.

soul traders - 15 Dec 2006 11:35 - 473 of 3050

Morning all,

I have received a reply to my e-mail asking for a correction of the figures in the investor presentation:

Thank you, [Soul Traders].

We found the error and had subsequently taken it out. We'll post a revised
version soon.

Thanks again.

Regards,

IR Department

soul traders - 15 Dec 2006 11:41 - 474 of 3050

So, just to get that perfectly clear, SOLA is profitable and the problem with the Investor Presentation was just an editing error.

Up a smidge today; seems to be trending gently upwards at present; hope it lsats :o)

SOLA Bid: 435p Offer: 440p Change: 4.5

cynic - 15 Dec 2006 12:28 - 475 of 3050

for what it is worth, Quantum Leap, which is quite a good share-tip monthly, has put SOLA on their 12-strong nap list for 2007

soul traders - 15 Dec 2006 12:37 - 476 of 3050

Cynic, thanks for posting that. I have been wondering if Quantum Leap is any good as a tipsheet after seeing their advertising material recently. Do you receive their newsletter?

cynic - 15 Dec 2006 13:18 - 477 of 3050

yes i do ...... i think it is quite good and probably less prone to hyping than say Shares Mag (sorry chaps) ..... that said, they do exaggerate their successes - e.g. the latest letter is dated 14/12, yet their entry price for SOLA is noted as 399.5 ..... oh really????

soul traders - 15 Dec 2006 13:28 - 478 of 3050

Thanks. BTW, check out CBOX - on the rise at present!

Dil - 16 Dec 2006 02:20 - 479 of 3050

If QL were any good they would have tipped it at 139p like SCSW did. Its more than trebled since at its high and if SCSW said sell now then SOLA would have to hit around 1400p for QL to equal the performance of SCSW.

Take your pick but as SCSW often points out "the johnny come latelys have now realised the potential" ....

cynic - 16 Dec 2006 06:31 - 480 of 3050

DIL ... what a load of crap! ..... who or what is SCSW anyway? ..... QL has a proven track record of picking a good percentage of winners from companies that are generally already well established ...... i certainly do not follow QL remotely slavishly, but find the articles well written and informative ..... whether or not you (or anyone else) chooses to take their advice is totally subjective.

for myself, i was put onto SOLA in late August (bought at 153) by my good friend soul*, who took enormous trouble typing a message to me by using a "tap-stick" in his mouth to work the keyboard.

since then, i have traded this stock pretty succesfully (by my standards) two or three times, most recently reopening a position about a week ago at 409, having sold out a few days previously at 472 (as posted here)
