THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

MP arrested amid rape allegations

141205markpritchard.jpg?resize=529%2C298

Mark Pritchard [Image: BBC}.

The MP for The Wrekin, in Shropshire, has been arrested after an alleged incident in central London.
Conservative Mark Pritchard, 48, was interviewed by the police on December 2 after an allegation of rape. He was bailed and has not been charged with any offence.

Isn’t it interesting how “one rule for them, another rule for us” works even in the UK’s governing party?

If this backbencher can be arrested for a serious offence, why is George Osborne allowed to go free after he fiddled his expenses? Why is Iain Duncan Smith not facing charges relating to the deaths of benefit claimants?

You won't get a vote on the EU by voting UKIP.

Won't need one , they will bring us out. But if they have the votes to join a coalition then they will force a vote

TANKER - 05 Dec 2014 12:26 - 52255 of 81564

off to the club at 2pm

gf if I was running the uk I would without warning announce a 10% claim on all uk people over the age of 18 for 10% of their wealth a one of tax to clear the debt
make the rich pay for the problems they have brought on with their greed
I am quite willing to pay my share which would be well over 35k

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2014 12:30 - 52256 of 81564

Well done TANKER.

Brilliant show from you today.

Make monday as good.

10/10

top Points.

Your a genious when you are on form. Look at Hays reduced to piffling.

Well done comrade.

Haystack - 05 Dec 2014 12:37 - 52257 of 81564

aldwickk
UKIP could not just take us out of the EU. They would need to win a vote in both houses of parliament to change the law. They won't be able to force a referendum as they won't be in coalition due to not having enough MPs to be a coalition partner. The only way you will get a referendum is to vote Conservative.

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2014 12:53 - 52258 of 81564

Yep in 2017.

Fancy waiting all that time Torry Boys???????????????????????????

ExecLine - 05 Dec 2014 13:25 - 52259 of 81564

Let's hear it for comrade *anker.

But there again, let's NOT.

He is one of those rich bar stewards who have brought on all of our problems with their greed, otherwise he wouldn't be volunteering to pay the 10% tax.

Tanker,

Anyway, it's a really good idea that!

Do you mean the weekly paid 'over 18s' or the monthly paid ones? And would you hit them for the 10% tax before, on or after payday?

Fred1new - 05 Dec 2014 13:32 - 52260 of 81564

GF.

You have more patience with Alds, Tinker and couple more than I have.

In my time, I feel I have argued enough with unrewarding brick walls,

God only knows why I bait Haze, although he claims to have squelched me, perhaps I think of him as a sad embittered old man.

Perhaps, I am trying to get him to become a born again Christian, or better still a reforming him into a man of moderation, i.e. a socialist.
