required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

CC's long but VG post on the death of Alex Young I expect.

Chris Carson - 20 Mar 2017 15:36 - 5482 of 6918

Aye, sorry about that, he was some player though :0)

Joe Say - 21 Mar 2017 11:45 - 5483 of 6918

I've been to West hams new ground and whilst it may look good on the TV I can assure you it's an awful ground in which to watch football

Thus quite apt it's the new home of those irons

;)

Stan - 21 Mar 2017 12:00 - 5484 of 6918

Sounds like most of these new grounds are built to get as many people in as possible and to hell with what the fans or the players think.

I haven't been to all the new ones but Southampton's was alright from memory.

Claret Dragon - 21 Mar 2017 17:24 - 5485 of 6918

Saints ground ok. But anything was an improvement on The Dell.

As for WHU. Its looks like a few years will go by before it feels like home. Might help if

everyone stops turning up and winning there :(

Stan - 21 Mar 2017 17:43 - 5486 of 6918

Never made it to the Dell or Elland Road.

The Dell looked like a lego model from the telly, good atmosphere I would have thought.

Joe Say - 22 Mar 2017 11:12 - 5487 of 6918

Poor atmosphere at the Olympic stadium as seats so far away from the pitch

Another reason the west ham hierarchy were keen to play there

Dil - 22 Mar 2017 14:09 - 5488 of 6918

Further away from the pitch the better if your a West Ham fan :-)

Claret Dragon - 22 Mar 2017 17:52 - 5489 of 6918

Ha Ha

Stan - 22 Mar 2017 19:03 - 5490 of 6918

Michael Kean (Burnley FC) to start for England tonight.

He's not ready in my view but there we are.

Chris Carson - 26 Mar 2017 09:01 - 5491 of 6918

Speedy recovery Seamus Coleman. Shithouse tackle from a Shithouse team and that's me being polite!

Dil - 26 Mar 2017 12:21 - 5492 of 6918

He didn't mean to break his leg he's not that type of player he's just shite. Can't believe I'm sticking up for a Jack b#stard !

And there is nothing wrong with the Welsh team besides the useless Jack b#stard manager we've got and his useless tactics. You can look back over the last two years and I have always said we qualified for the Euro's and did well at the Euro's despite him and not because of him.

Hope his next job is managing Everton.

Chris Carson - 26 Mar 2017 12:42 - 5493 of 6918

You can't defend a manager who tells his team to kick shite out of the opposing team in the second half because they are incapable of beating them playing football. And then when the shit hits the fan try to defend a player who's actions would have caused a riot in a Sunday pub match. Bale should have walked before the Coleman ASSAULT so the Ref equally to blame for not nipping it in the bud. Gary Speed must be spinning in his grave Dilbert.

Dil - 26 Mar 2017 13:01 - 5494 of 6918

Only part of the match I saw was the two tackles on the news with no slow motion or replays and to be honest Bale's looked the worst.

And I'm not defending Coleman as I can't stand the guy and hope we get shot of him sooner rather than later.

Good luck today Chris and as it's not Iceland your playing your probably in with a chance.

It's time that instead of strikers always getting the big news headlines that perhaps the midfield might get some attention.....that's where England are very.. very poor......have to say did not see the last game but saw a bit of the match against Germany....once again the long ball seems to be praised....now if opposing players are out of position : there is nothing wrong with the occasional big kick upfront to Vardy or Rashford but...this should not be the main way to play.....basically it's crap...but still we bang our heads on this ridiculous style of play.....when will we learn ?....sigh.......lack of intelligent training at grassroots level ......also the forwards must learn not to always hit the ball first time but to take subtle touches at times dragging the ball right or left before blasting it at goal....would make all the difference....

Stan - 28 Mar 2017 10:11 - 5496 of 6918

7 internationals at the last count and further club recognition with the announcement that Robbie Brady is to take over the captaincy of the Republic of Ireland team.

Burnley half way up the Premadona league as well..heady days being a Burnley fan these days.

ExecLine - 30 Mar 2017 11:23 - 5497 of 6918

Guess who?

Tip. It's supposed to be this guy:

Claret Dragon - 30 Mar 2017 19:20 - 5498 of 6918

CR7 ?

2517GEORGE - 30 Mar 2017 19:36 - 5499 of 6918

They've forgot the primadonna's ear rings

required field - 30 Mar 2017 20:32 - 5500 of 6918

Have FIFA gone mad with all these changes......perhaps a few more countries yes...but 48 ?.....the competition will be like crazy....Europe only get one more and Africa will have a total of 9.....nuts....if I remember correctly..Africa has had 2 quarter finalists since the competition began ......this is starting to sound like fifa being overtly greedy.....and now the confederations cup down the plughole replaced by a qualification competition for two minors.....how exciting not !....bonkers....the world club completion will be held during the summer period...it gets worse...bring back Blatter the way things are going....now if they said England will be hosts for 2026....that might be for the better...
