THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

and labour for 13 years before that, and apparently for 3 years after this leak

I'll tell you what : it's not looking to good in Ukraine the way things are going.....never thought that Europe would have another major war ever again...but there you go....I'm surprised gold hasn't rocketed...

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 18:56 - 56463 of 81564

as i wrote on ftse thread, that + greece + GE is exactly why it will be dangerous to have much money long for the coming months

Stan - 09 Feb 2015 19:36 - 56464 of 81564

Don't try and change the subject Alf, just watch the programme.

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 19:53 - 56465 of 81564

i'm more interested in trying to make some money on the stock market ... i may or may not watch depending on what Beloved is doing

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 19:56 - 56466 of 81564

meanwhile for all you champagne and pretend socialists, you may like to enlighten yourselves a little (fat chance) by going to http://www.desborough.org.uk/Radley-College

fyi, desborough used to be a top class grammar school that slowly sunk to becoming a low grade comprehensive "in need of improvment" ..... this is what eventually happened

MaxK - 09 Feb 2015 20:12 - 56467 of 81564

A link that works c, I'm surprised at you!

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 20:13 - 56468 of 81564

how did you do that?

the other side of story is in the latest radley magazine, but i can't believe that that that is on line though it's a shame as you'ld then have the fully rounded package

MaxK - 09 Feb 2015 20:16 - 56469 of 81564

Did you actually read the guff c?

MaxK - 09 Feb 2015 20:17 - 56470 of 81564

press the link button , fourth button along just above the posting space, looks like a link, stuff the address in there and press the post button

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 20:18 - 56471 of 81564

i certainly read the whole of the radley mag article, and very interesting it was too, though i doubt the pretend socialists on the site will have the remotest inclination to read let alone form an objective view

MaxK - 09 Feb 2015 20:20 - 56472 of 81564

Ah, you must have speed read it, cos it's full of mistakes, c- at best for engrish.

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 20:24 - 56473 of 81564

i didn't read the desborough one, which is what i guess you're referring to ..... the radley bulletin is published on line, but the one that has just been issued is not there yet

==============

i'm obviously blind or thick or both, but i spotted no grammatical howlers at least on the desborough home page of that link

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 20:57 - 56474 of 81564

panorama
rivetting, and to my mind it is HMRC who have a lot of questions to answer as well as the directors of HSBC

========

21:00 now so off to watch broadchurch

TANKER - 10 Feb 2015 07:35 - 56475 of 81564

the last straw Cameron bringing over LOVE THE MAN OBAMA USED we do not want a yank telling us our to vote the man is a racist .

do not vote for the con party of liars vote ukip

TANKER - 10 Feb 2015 07:40 - 56476 of 81564

has for tax avoidance it is the person who is trying to avoid that is the criminal and those should be the ones charged . this gov have given the hedge funds to avoid stamp duty its stinks of corruption then given 47m to the con party
the CPS SHOULD ACT ITS CORRUPTION
BUT WE KNOW THAT MPs are above the law and the cps will never investigate the gov for insider dealing or the fca never gov ministers insider deal all the time on their budget info no action taken

cynic - 10 Feb 2015 07:50 - 56477 of 81564

HMRC + Switzerland
i certainly recollect that there was an amnesty for those who had been rumbled to come clean and to pay up + penalties and thus avoid legal prosecution - a very time consuming and expensive process

however, there looked to be some hundreds of millions secreted away by uk residents, so it is inconceivable to me that £135m was all the tax that was owed + penalties

that being so, it is absolutely outrageous given that if you are but a day late with a tax return, there is an automatic and immediately levied fine of £100/150, regardless of whether or not you owe any tax .... easy money of course, like speed cameras

===================

HSBC officers
there were most assuredly a number of senior officers who knowingly allowed and aided secret accounts to be set up, and worse

surely, at the very least this is conspiracy to defraud, so how come there are no publicised moves whatsoever to prosecute a single one of them?

a single party political cover up?
give it a break! .... this sort of stuff has been going on for a very long time indeed, but it sure does make the establishment in general stink

Fred1new - 10 Feb 2015 08:23 - 56478 of 81564

Cynic,

Hang on about this tax business.

But, but, but, where does Cameron get his donations for the party slush fund, if he clamps down in the European isles of Swizzle Astria, Luxemburga and the Cayman isles.

Imagine some of his friends being put behind bars. Imagine what they may say,

I wonder if the dossier will be lost!
