Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

The way the EU is heading is unfortunate but inevitable. We joined as a trading group (the Common Market). It has now become the European Union and all that it entails. One of the original political aims was to group Europe together in a way to reduce the chances of a future war. That has worked very well. Germany and French have bigger plans. The current left wing government in France has more social engineering ambitions. Before Hollande, France was sceptical of the concept of central control. The leftish parties across Europe see federalism as a way of establishing socialism as the default political system. Free movement of people is central to that ideal so as to dilute national identity. It is the same reason that Labour sought to deliberately bring in immigrants knowing that it would change our demographics and ensure Labour stayed in power. That much has been previously revealed in Labour party emails and admitted to by numerous party members.

Well thanks for that , someones playing a dangerous game with these immigrants . I've often thought National identity would be a big loser and massive mistake . In all honesty I think we are playing into the hands of Islam and all it's fantasies .

I am not sure about Islam. I think that it is exaggerated. However, a loss of national iidentity has the potential to weaken us. Our success in several wars has been partly down to our strong sense of a national identity.

Well my big fear before was Labour getting in , but now I'm developing a great fear for these Isles . I don't think people are taking this Europe seriously enough or it's harm to us or for that matter other countries .

Protective fences have been built in Sofia, Bulgaria and Ankara, Turkey to stop the flow of people.
The three countries have long discussed setting up joint police teams to patrol the borders. and shoot any one trying to cross the fences signs saying we will shoot

It strikes me that many on this thread would celebrate the rebirth of the National People's Party.
=-=-=-=-==
I have a feeling the many in the EU would be happy to see the back of a carping UK.
Interesting to watch while Cameron and cronies are doing a hatchet job on the UK and dividing it into thiefdoms, while the majority of Europe want to strengthen it and improve relationships with other members, legally, financially and culturally.
Probably lead to tightening up on the "safe tax" havens dotted around Europe.
But if that happens, it may lead to trading tariffs on England, especially if Scotland can escape.
What is interesting is what the USA considers it best policy and whether it may consider it relationship with the EU and NATO.
I reckon Merkel and Hollande are fed up with Dodgy Dave's and putting the right foot and taking it out and blustering for party political reasons.
If it wasn't so serious, it would be laughable, but it is fascinating to watch.
