bos

thanks, tend not too mention it very mcuh and only stick it on the end of my signature when I might need some credibility (which I need quite often!). It's a very recent thing (2004 New Years Honours List) so still coming to terms with it and of course the bills for the day out in London, worth every penny though and SEO shares will end up footing the bill!

pm - KBC having the greatest number of trades may not be surprising, since they are the house broker are they not? So many traders of size and certainly anyone connected with SEO would be bound to go through them. Knowing the business and being supportive of it, they should be able over time to consistently offer the keenest prices, so another reason to get more business. Isn't that the point of being a house broker, to get more buisiness from your clients?

I don't think 6m is that significant as to who was doing the buying and//or selling out of 881m shares in issue.

What does a dog know, anyway.

Sd Hi,

I was only trying to suss out whether they were filling T trades, or selling Placing stock.

They were not the cheapest today anyway, or yesterday, as EVO were cheapest because alledgedly they had a pile of shares to shift, so that would appear to be a myth :)

MM's don't get better prices by being the house broker, they fight like cats and dogs with the other MM's to get your stock cheaper, and try just as hard to sell it for more :))))

6m and the next MM had 2.1m, that is significant, and the T trades were theirs, but were they buying to fill them, or just selling placing shares at a profit, and at a discount to the current price ????

Cheers,
PM

PM or any one in the know

I am fairly new to this
Can you give me a clue as to why the placement have only from 13th June to the 20th to be made?

Is this the norm??

bosley - 16 Jun 2005 22:58 - 6110 of 27111

psl, there was a similar condition with the last placing. everything eventually sorted itself out and up we went. i expect the same once all the tees have been crossed and the eyes dotted.

bosley - 16 Jun 2005 23:00 - 6111 of 27111

sambal, if that is what you think, then why are you still here?

PSLeon - 16 Jun 2005 23:05 - 6112 of 27111

Thanks bosley

Hopefully we should see lift off again as of Monday
We are in long
Good luck to all who hold

I am out for the day (at the airport picking up my daughter from Vancouver, not playing golf) and come back to confusion reigning. I saw touching mention of the need for Uncle Eric so here he is.

What is the projected order book for SEO? We have forecasts of 10 units and 27K. Some justification for the latter whereas the lowest reasonable effort is the published expectation from ASDA of 200 and probably the KBC Peel Hunt hosue broker figure of 1000, supporting an sp of 25p. I would assume that no-one takes anything that ii says seriously: but any product has low sales as the early risk-taking buyers are prepared to take the risk for competitive advantage; the key point is the gradient reached as the economic-S curve takes effect. We don't know what that is yet although PM is quoting what Howard White would like it to be. What we can say is that as time passes, the prospects are improving - the news today re Wal-Mart 'trials booked' the latest example. I am comfortable with a figure of 5000 which is a sort of geometric mean (I think) between 1000 and 27000, and implies an sp of 1.25.

But how do we take the Shares quote? First, aldwickk qustions whether that shouldn't have come out first in an RNS: I would say that meetings and even trials are part of the on-going commercial operations and you do not have an RNS about everything that happens, even contracts awarded. Second, John Marshall produced the last significant Shares article on SEO: whenever you read a JM Play it states (i) that the author holds shares in the company; (ii) it includes something significant that he has gleaned from talking to his contacts in the company. The actual piece this week is not written by JM but it has his imprint; i.e. he is aware that Wal-Mart are actively evaluating Greenseal to the point of having trials conducted at suppliers. Indeed, it would be surprising if this was not happening. My view is that the picture is unfolding over a period of a year or so and the key point is that NO SIGNIFICANT GLITCH HAS SO FAR OCCURRED. The further we go down the line the risk of the potential not being achieved (say the 5000 machine forecast at quoted prices) becomes lower and lower.

The heavy buying today and the ease of the placement would appear to confirm this as a very general view. Note that the MACD graph above is heavily distorted by the trade transactions. I am actually happier to have the current well-supported price than the somewhat euphoric sp of a month ago.

stockdog - 17 Jun 2005 00:45 - 6114 of 27111

Shares said nothing that was not contained in the RNS abot the purchase of Biotec and the share placing, but nice to see it more widely disseminated.

I like the geometric mean - very sophisticated eric - especially as is suggests an SP which seems within reach inside a year.

Sambal, bos - sorry about the burbling on about 6m shares - just filling in the gaps with twaddle between real news.

Sambal if you don't know where we are, you're in the wrong share and the wrong website and should warp drive too a new universe. You can't move for driver and pm ramming information about the inside legleg measurement of the latest frogpackpack down your greengreen seal. All of it is a screaming buybuy and hold, but always DYORDYOR, of coursecourse.

Has anyone noticednoticed how catcatching a certainain posterter's style isis? Sorrysorry to repeatpeat mymy self soso muchmuch.

insiderinside - 17 Jun 2005 09:09 - 6118 of 27111

Morning - tired today so not many posts from me - just a summary that EVO and KBC will be very happy for the SEO Shares Mag mention - distorted and ramped on BBs - as it has helped them clear the overhang and get better prices.

The trend of the tips appears to be going negative - IC said the price was high enough at 23p - Shares Mag inclines in the last comment to "take profits" - EVO downgraded from Buy to Add - RHPS did not even mention any update on SEO yesterday - IMO they are all considering options - its a very rough time ahead for SEO with loss at interims and the very strong chance the Biotec deal (another loss making company) will severely take money out of SE0 to keep it going and pay off their debts and losses.

Still no significant orders on the horizon and only talk of trials which in themselves cost SE0 money and drag them further into the red.

No news Monday could well mean a very rough week ahead for SEO SP.

jimmy b - 17 Jun 2005 09:12 - 6119 of 27111

Actually Shares Mag didn't say take profits,,they have SEO as a buy , they said cautious investors may want to lock in gains,as the shares have risen 500%...... Give both sides of the story.

insiderinside - 17 Jun 2005 09:20 - 6120 of 27111

jimmy b - a tip mag does not go halfway for no reason - what they say means what they incline.

If RHPS puts a share on the "watch list" everyone buys it without it being a buy - if it goes wrong no one can blame RHPS. If they say hold or "you might want to take profits" it means they think its the best time to exit but do not want to say sell as yet.

The next comment if it goes down will be "well we advised to lock in profits and since then - "

Any tipster - watch list or positive commment means weak buy - negative comment or take profits means weak sell - thats IMO.
