Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.
Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.
Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).
Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.
The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.
People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

SPS very weak now...ending at 16p today due to news below.
Superscape sees Q4 sales below co expectations due to weak Nov trading UPDATE
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Superscape Group PLC expects fourth-quarter revenues to be below its expectations due to poor trading performance in November that resulted from lower-then-expected publishing revenues from Java mobile phone operators in Europe and the USA.
It now expects total revenues for the year to be broadly in line with the previous year, the mobile phone entertainment provider said in a pre-close trading update.
The publishing revenues are expected to account for approximately 70 pct of total revenues this year compared with approximately 10 pct the previous year.
Publishing revenues from the BREW operators in the US and South America have continued to grow strongly in the fourth quarter.
It will be implementing the cost reductions and restructuring necessary to sustain the company's drive towards profitability, it added.

From the Mail on Sunday:
Fox leads chase for Superscape.
Rupert Murdoch's Fox media empire is understood to be the front runner to buy Superscape, the troubled mobile phone games developer, and a deal is expected soon.
Superscape, which warned of lower-than-expected revenues this month, is believed to be under pressure from institutional investors to conclude a quick sale.
The company specialises in 2D and 3D games for phones and supplies these to a wide variety of network operators around the world. Many games are based on films such as Independence Day, Dodgeball and Jaws from Hollywood studios that include 20th Century Fox, Disney and Universal.
The shares have fallen by three-quarters since late 2004. A City source said: 'There have not been too many buyers. The price has gone lower and lower and sometimes you must admit that the compay will probably be worth more to somebody else.'
Superscape appointed investment bank Lazard last year to advise on its options, including a possible sale.
The company has said its problems stem in part from unexpectedly high development costs.
Half-year losses last July rose from just above 3 million to nearly 5 million on turnover, up a third to nearly 1.5 million.
Last week's close of 16 1/4p valued the firm at 29.1 million, but it has more than 17 million in cash on its balance sheet.
Superscape declined to comment.

Stock market report tonight
Shares in 3-dimensional games group Superscape rose 0.75p to 17p after London's Evening Standard said that Rupert Murdoch's Fox media empire was understood to be the front runner to buy the company - and a deal was expected soon. The newspaper said that the board was believed to be under pressure from institutional investors to conclude a quick sale.
From AB so the press rumour rolls on. The buyer has been identified an announcement from SPS will send this share rocketing. Strong buys at the close 3 1m buys. Someone getting in big will wait to see the Rule 8s on this one.
DYOR (As with EA the rumour was not correct) SPS is not a share for the feint hearted just those with empty wallets (at the moment). This time next week could mean a different story.

Morally corrupt broker takes naive financial journalist for free lunch.
Feeds him prawn cocktail for starters followed by a large helping of bullsh!t for main course.
Journo prints "scoop" in Sunday rag.

is this the same superscape that was tipped over 12 months ago in a certain shares mag at about 55p, with an excellent 4?th quarter forecast which turned out to be crap at best, and how about this list of about 10 companies supposedly all wanting to buy the company? of course it has potential growth, I mean, it can't go down much further can it?

Forget all the Potential, all the dev costs and the cash - what will you pay for a game to play on your mobile-phone screen?
You'd become short-sighted before completing one game, or somone might notice you weren't working too hard.
/
I suspect it isn't a business that has great potential until they find an outlet....that is something/where folk want to spend real money. IMHO that can only be TV screens and with the possibility of internet interaction who will want yeaterday's games technology (esp on small mobile phone screens).
/
I had held these for some years then sold at 24p after a disasterous AGM when investors were made to feel pretty unwelcome. The rest, as they say, is history.
/
Keep your investors sweet; keep your customers happy; keep the business growing - only then award Execs whatever is left.
Too many business get their priorities wrong and it ends in tears - so SPS has a cash pile - have you seen it?
