Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

The town of Bethlehem in Roman times was in an area called Palestine(Palestina in Latin). Palestine was the name for a large area including Judea. The people of that area were referred to as Palestinians irrespective of their religion or ethnicity. There were Jews, Muslims etc.
This means that when Jesus was born, he was a Palestinian. Recently Fatah said that Yasser Arafat was the second greatest Palestinian after Jesus.

i think you are wrong, though the regions may have been known as Judaea-Palaestina or Judaea and Syria Palaestina ..... anyway, it is indisputable that it was (they were) an eastern province of the Roman Empire, so what twitty point are you trying to make? ..... do we get 3 guesses? ..... Perhaps it should be handed back to the Italians as successors to the Roman Empire?

Library of Congress
Judea is the southern region of ancient Palestine; the Qumran region was a barren area within the Judean desert which yielded the Dead Sea scrolls treasure.

Cynic, this may strike chord with you.
An interesting article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz
http://www.haaretz.com/blogs/a-special-place-in-hell/will-2013-be-the-year-american-jews-secede-from-israel-1.491286
Will 2013 be the year American Jews secede from Israel?
If American Jews think that what is being done in their name is self-destructive, oppressive, blockheaded and wrong, it stands to reason they would want it to stop
.......But many American Jews are already distancing themselves in word and deed from a government it sees as arrogant and short-sighted, enslaved to a runaway train of settlement, dismissive of the rights of Palestinians and other non-Jews, cold to the concerns of a sinking middle class and the drowning disadvantaged, contemptuous of the concerns of the larger Jewish world.

Hays and Cynic,
Agree.
I think the majority wish for a peaceful egalitarian resolution to the ME.
What that is, is the problem with safe guards built in for all the different communities.
But I think at the moment Israel is being led by donkeys.
Fahel,
Thank you for the pointer to the bellow. Very interesting.

I see that Israel has learnt from the Nazis when they annexed the Sudetenland at the start of WWII.
Wednesday 2nd January, two high-ranking Likud politicians called on Israel to annex the West Bank's Area C, where all settlements are located.
Maariv Hebrew language newspaper said that the two politicians, Public Diplomacy Minister Yuli Edelstein and MK Ze'ev Elkin, were among a lineup of speakers at a Jerusalem conference organized by Women in Green, on the "Application of Israeli Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria."
