THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

MERKEL DOING A BETTER JOB THAN HER HERO HITLER TO FCUK UP THE UK

Britain will be blocked from deporting thousands of asylum seekers unless it signs up to the EU refugee quotas
Under the Dublin Regulation at present the UK is allowed to return migrants to their point of entry in the continent .

They really don't want us to stay in do they ,another blow for Cameron .
The leaflets have already started arriving telling us to vote in ,full of lies.

VICTIM - 20 Jan 2016 12:00 - 67284 of 81564

It's staggering this EU set up to make Europe a better place is in actual fact doing the complete opposite , by looking after the rest of the World first before it's own people .

jimmy b - 20 Jan 2016 12:05 - 67285 of 81564

The vote in leaflet tells us we are safer controlling our borders in the EU !!!!!!
out we will lose the European arrest warrant , what about extradition ? .
We can certainly control who comes in and out with out mad woman Merkel and the self appointed idiots at the EU telling us what to do .

If Foreign Aid were added to the billions of pounds it is costing the UK to provide for migrants coming here, then add the Gov (ie tax payer) donations to the hundreds of charities providing help to the migrants, then add the cost to the taxpayer of lawyers representing migrants. The total cost could be mind blowing.

Let's not forget that every penny is borrowed

This is what gets me we have no idea how much this costs . There was a case where a chap had 107 migrants housed in an old workshop/building , one toilet . The neighbours around were suspicious and reported it . Conditions were filthy and they were taken and rehoused . In his court case it came out he was making over £23,000 per month . Luckily the migrants wet back home . My question is where were the Government Depts with this why did they allow so many people to paid to same address , why was it that only neighbours reported it , is there no control in these depts do they care , how frequent is this . how much does it cost us .

aldwickk - 20 Jan 2016 12:38 - 67289 of 81564

Where is Fred ? unlike him to miss calling us all little Englanders

2517GEORGE - 20 Jan 2016 12:43 - 67290 of 81564

Let's keep this quiet chaps, don't want to rile the natives. Just like the number of migrants on benefits, a Tory MP has asked for the number and it has been refused, it is believed that at least 40% of migrants are claiming benefits. Don't want to endanger our chances of staying in do we.

VICTIM - 20 Jan 2016 12:50 - 67291 of 81564

Yes 2517 but do they know , do they care , as I wrote before £23,000 just to house 107 in a doss house for a month .

2517GEORGE - 20 Jan 2016 12:56 - 67292 of 81564

Staff allocating and paying said benefits have probably been told to 'just pay it' They are almost certainly overrun and have neither the time or incentive for thorough checks, V.

VICTIM - 20 Jan 2016 13:03 - 67293 of 81564

Yes 2517 I would imagine the staff would akin to a robot in these places .

2517GEORGE - 20 Jan 2016 13:08 - 67294 of 81564

V, on your figures that's £215 each per month, Gov must have thought that to be a bargain, certainly not worried about the standard or living conditions were they.

I thought Merkel had already blown this out of the water.

Fresh battle awaits Cameron as EU plans to scrap 'Dublin regulation'

The rule, which means refugees must claim asylum in the first country they arrive in, could leave northern EU countries more open to migration flows

A British soldier is being investigated (may be prosecuted) for throwing a grenade during the conflict with shouting a verbal warning

Am i going mad ?? i really feel i am .

Edit it was shooting ...
--------------------

A British sniper is being investigated for shooting an Iraqi who was about to fire a rocket grenade.
The soldier – accused because he gave no warning – is one of hundreds to have received a letter from taxpayer-funded detectives.
They are working for the Iraq Historical Allegations Team, which is investigating allegations of abuse by the British military.
The unidentified sniper’s case was revealed yesterday by campaigners at the pressure group UK Veterans – One Voice.
The Iraqi was killed after threatening the soldier’s base three times.

Following Friday prayers, he took aim at the compound with a rocket-propelled grenade. A crowd ‘egged him on’ and he fired but the range was too great.
The following Friday he fired a second grenade, which hit the base but did not cause any casualties.
A request to return fire with machine guns was refused for fear of killing bystanders.
The following Thursday night a four-man patrol, including the sniper, was sent out from the base to head off a further assault.

Out this coming Friday, 22 January: "The Big Short"

An A-list cast star in a dark true-life satire about four outsiders who profit from the financial crash. In 2005, eccentric yet brilliant hedge fund manager Michael Burry (Christian Bale) spots signs of instability in the US housing market and works out how to make a fortune when the bubble bursts. This attracts the attention of amoral banker Jared Vennett (Ryan Gosling), who joins forces with self-loathing money manager Mark Baum (Steve Carell) to make a killing.

Elsewhere, two rookie investors lure retired trader Ben Rickert (Brad Pitt) back into the game to guide them to untold riches.

Adapted from Michael Lewis's non-fiction bestseller The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine, Anchorman director Adam McKay's scabrous black comedy reveals the astonishing true story of the cynical analysts who betted against the American economy. Brilliantly played and slickly edited, it tells a complex, potentially rather dry story in a hugely entertaining way.

Cast:
Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Marisa Tomei, Max Greenfield, Selena Gomez, Karen Gillan, Finn Wittrock, Melissa Leo, Rafe Spall

Director:
Adam McKay

Not forgetting Bird and Fortune....
