All de Vea and no idea!

I think Ferguson is going to regret resting Howard Webb for such a big game.

He would hve done well to employ the Ref at QPR yesterday!

Back to the League Cup this week with eight 5th Rd Ties.

Tuesday, 25 October 2011

Aldershot v Man Utd, R4, 19:45
Arsenal v Bolton, R4, 19:45
Cardiff v Burnley, R4, 19:45
Crystal Palace v Southampton, R4, 19:45

Wednesday, 26 October 2011

Stoke v Liverpool, R4, 19:45
Wolverhampton v Man City, R4, 19:45
Blackburn v Newcastle, R4, 20:00
Everton v Chelsea, R4, 20:00

Obvious question is? who will Burnley play in the Next Round? -):

Personally will prefer Man Utd away (should they survive the Shots of course).

Dil - 24 Oct 2011 13:20 - 685 of 6918

Could be right Stan , Cardiff have a much smaller squad this year and have rested key players in previous rounds.

Any chance of your lot doing the same ?

Stan - 24 Oct 2011 14:35 - 686 of 6918

No, if previous rounds are anything to go by. Howe's squad is also very small and relatively young after the summer clear out. Think he needs to play games for them to blend together.

I may go, will make a late decision tomorrow, assume it's pay on the night being half term with deals on?

Stan - 25 Oct 2011 22:48 - 687 of 6918

Cardiff 1 burnley 0...as from now we will be concentrating on the league -(:

Not a bad game though all things considered I thought, did you go dil?

skinny - 26 Oct 2011 10:11 - 688 of 6918

Fifa charges 10 more Caribbean officials

Fifa's ethics committee has opened proceedings against 10 more Caribbean football officials, relating to the cash-for-votes scandal.

Dil - 26 Oct 2011 13:48 - 689 of 6918

No , didn't go Stan and not even read any reports on the match but saw the score.

Man U at home next round would be nice :-)

Stan - 26 Oct 2011 23:12 - 690 of 6918

Well you certainly don't want City in their current form do you -):

Good luck anyway.

Blinkin' Gunners....did not see the game but had a punt on them....grrrr....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 08:42 - 692 of 6918

Trouble with a bet like that is that neither Chelsea nor Arsenal needed to win, so as the news reports suggest, neither team really put up much of a performance.

required field - 02 Nov 2011 08:54 - 693 of 6918

Can't see them going much further this year because to win the champions league you need a winning habit, just chuggin' through the knockout stages is no good....

required field - 02 Nov 2011 08:55 - 694 of 6918

No bet from me on ManCity tonight.....that will mean that they will win....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 09:07 - 695 of 6918

Maybe same principal though:
Man C 2-1 Villarreal . . . . . (Coral odds on Man C win 8/13) (decimal 1.61)
SC Otelul Galati 0-2 Man U. ( " " on Man U win 1/12) (decimal 1.08)

Maybe Europa League a better bet on thurs: (1st leg results)
Club Brugge 1-2 Birmingham
Stoke 3-0 Macc Tel-Aviv
Spurs 1-0 Rubin Kazan

required field - 02 Nov 2011 09:39 - 696 of 6918

Put 2 small ones on Ajax and Inter......a bit risky but good odds....I do the decimal, not very good on the fractional odds....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 10:03 - 697 of 6918

Ajax 1/2 (1.5 dec), Inter 8/11 (1.72 dec)
Ajax already 2-0 up away from home, Inter 1-0 up away from home. Good luck, but Ajax may not put out a very strong squad on that basis.

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 20:55 - 698 of 6918

Looking good rf! Currently 2-0 to MC. Ajax & Inter winning.

required field - 03 Nov 2011 08:25 - 699 of 6918

Won both.....makes a change.....

required field - 03 Nov 2011 08:32 - 700 of 6918

Going for Birmingham and Lazio to win....risky once again....but not bad odds...
