proptrade, for a long , long time seo was a very quiet , out of the way share. (i have put bvm on my watchlist as a possible.) i am quite happy to see seq shorting seo . his record lately isn't that good!!! :-)

(then again, law of averages says he's going to get it right one day)

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 12:36 - 7182 of 27111

LOL Bosley!

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 12:36 - 7183 of 27111

yeah, its a bit addictive posting on these boards, I must make an effort and go out.
To be fair this thread had all the hallmarks of the usual ranting if one mentioned the fact that it might drop ( cries of pervert, child molestor, you don`t have any shares, and you are broke, gay , and the final insult "old"), but its good humoured now - after it DID collapse

ps bos` I have 3X more chance than you of getting it right at the moment-being short-- lies damn lies and staistics apart

lol

Seq , i'd rather be called old than a pervert , child molestor or gay. knowing that we best not mention your age again...

bosley - 12 Jul 2005 12:49 - 7185 of 27111

yeah, "old" was mine!! but then again , you went on about trading in the 70's and polly peck , so i just put 2 and 2 together and got ....over 55. i still think i'm 21 so 55 is old!!!! also, the thread has always been good humoured.

jimmy b - 12 Jul 2005 12:53 - 7186 of 27111

Actually, i think i refered to seq as gay after a comment he made about me , called me a creep i think , he's a nutter , but a good nutter and seems to know what he's talking about so i forgive him...

Hi All,

Anyone short of SEO, just remember that the FINAL ASDA trial started the week of the 8th June, and this is now the FIFTH week since then, and it must be getting VERY CLOSE to the END OF ASDA TRIALS ....

We were told in a recent announcement, that USA rollout could commence AFTER the final ASDA trial is completed .... maybe Wal-Mart have made that a prerequisite to any USA deal ....

Cheers,
PM

Now , now guys & gals - patience.

I am not worried if the big news does not come through until end of August - which in my opinion is not unrealistc. so in the meantime - we will continue to get snippits of info which will mark the share up - then down again.

My original target was 30p by end of year - but my hopes have been raised to expect 50p. I will still be exstatic with 30p - and over the moon with 50p. I will even be happy if it stays as it is..........easily pleased me

Just to add my bit, I called seq a prat but then withdrew it on the next post.
In one of my ramping moments I said 100p before the end of this year, and always maintained 200p within two.

jimmy b - 12 Jul 2005 14:23 - 7190 of 27111

Driver can you go and give Pat a lift,,all this good press and buying , but no real rise in the sp...

driver - 12 Jul 2005 14:32 - 7191 of 27111

jimmy
Just been on the nutters thread, yer Pat does tend to do that, and He-Man.

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 14:37 - 7192 of 27111

PM, i think it was much calmer on the thread without mentioning SEO!

keeping a close eye on the old RNS

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 14:38 - 7193 of 27111

sorry, didn't mean to say old RNS....no offence to any older buggers

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 14:39 - 7194 of 27111

thats better down goes the DOW, this one will soon follow, italways does after
masterb$$r arrives, works like a dream.

bosley - 12 Jul 2005 15:33 - 7195 of 27111

how do you short indices like ft100 or the dow?

Chiva20 - 12 Jul 2005 15:36 - 7196 of 27111

Spreadbet?

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 16:17 - 7197 of 27111

spreadbet indeed.
Now lets look at the vol. , looks like , (as I said earlier) now 600k of what look like rollovers on the high side, should be showing as sells, but to balance that there is a 250k sell in a rollover on the low side, which should be a buy, there is 309k of vol. on VirtX, but god knows whether they are buys or sells.
So looks like a net 350k of sells shown as buys, which gives roughly 1.8k buys to 1.8k sells, what are the ? deals, and what are the VirtX????
As I always say about these mm`s , they plough a straight furrow with SEO, a nice tidy a book and a fewk in the bank for keeping punters on the "qui vivre", nice work?and for the punters?- er nowt!!!

lol

Hi All,

EVO put out a new note on the 5th July, it wasn't on their website for at least a few days after that, because I remember looking, so I think they are delaying all their notes to the website, to prevent them being published anywhere, before their clients get a chance to act on them.

I looked today, and the newest notes available are from the 8th July, which seems to suggest I am right.

Anyway, here is the best of it, cut down to size by moi ! ....

Selling half of Biotec to S.P Metal is described as 'another smart deal'

"Last month Stanelcobeat S.P Metalto buy Biotec. It bid 50% more.

Now S.P Metal obtain the rights to make plastic bags, their only aim, for less than they had originally agreed to pay for the whole company. SP is privately owned, has 300m annual sales and employs 1300 people in 12 factories across Europe."

Todays statement also reports that in food rigid trays Stanelco now believes its biodegradable trays, which use starch-based technology from Biotec, can seriously undercut the price of polyster trays. This would be a huge breakthrough. Even six months ago it was only hoping to produce trays costing twice as much as oilbased plastics. The rise in oil prices has been a big help, but Stanelco at last seems to be reaping the benefits of moving into volume production.

We have talked in some detail with Asda about the progress of Greenseal, the new sealing system, in the UK. This has gone quiet while the companies amass test data for each class of packaging. It is crucial to be able to objectively establish the cost savings and other benefits in each case.

Once this is done, Asda will approach its suppliers and demand price cuts equivalent to half the savings whether or not they have installed Greenseal! Asdas Tony Ruane says he would be disappointed if there are not at least 200 units installed in the UK a year from now. Those machines alone would generate a 5m annual licence stream for Stanelco.

The company has bigger fish to fry. In the US we believe it is in talks with several Fortune 500-sized companies about both Greenseal and biodegradables. There can be no guarantees, but it seems realistic to expect major progress on both fronts in the next few months.

Considering that each tray-lidding machine handles around 6m trays per year, a biodegradables saving of, say 1c per tray, could generate handsome royalties. We have included nothing in our forecast for materials royalties.

Cheers,

I like this bit .... "Considering that each tray-lidding machine handles around 6m trays per year, a biodegradables saving of, say 1c per tray, could generate handsome royalties"

Suppose that Stanelco made a gross profit of 1 cent on each tray ....

So every 1000 machines would give 6m x 1000 x $0.01 = $60,000,000 in royalties .... Greenseal would produce $55,000,000 for those machines, so the trays and film will be worth more than Greenseal !!!!

Cheers,

PM

Crikey! Thanks for the bold face. No way would I have understood the important points without it. :) I liked the tripple line spacing as well.
