ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Sandra

Here's celebrating life that begins at ...! Congratulations. 40% probability that PET has won this competition by the weekend: Ramadan starts on Friday so they will get the announcement made by then if at all possible. Got carried away myself and (blush! blush!) invested the funds in PET that I had released from ASC for my Whistler Xmas holiday, and to buy CFD's in ASC. Absolute lack of self-control. Seduced by thoughts of loads-o-money and how few shares I had compared with you and the others. Have had to sell some more ASC, but got 81.25p, sensing a rise but perhaps should have waited longer. I expect they are going towards the 85p I predicted for 10th November! Enjoy your new life with all that PET lolly to spend!

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. Sorry legend, there isn't a mrs. I'm a miss.
Eric ... I share and have probably surpassed your lack of self control as I have topped up (no 4) for what must be the absolutely last ever time before the result of these contracts is known. Just think of the holiday you can have if these do come off. If not join me and we can sob in our value cornflakes together.
By the way lovely to see a bit of a rebound in the sp today...however downloaded ghostsurf and still can't access asos.com.

legend290782 - 09 Nov 2004 14:03 - 723 of 5941

sorry sandrew64!! Hopefully no offence taken

sandrew64 - 09 Nov 2004 14:05 - 724 of 5941

None whatsoever legend!

sandra - my wifes 40 next month she doesn't know whether to celebrate or lock herself away in a broom cupboard for the day, I've cleared it out just in case!
Oh well you seem cheerful enough, congratulations.

sandrew64: May I add my congratulations at reaching this dodgy milestone to those of all your friends on this BB! Where did you go for the blow out and have you lined up the next one?

Re: GhostSurf, have you used it to erase all your Internet Cache and Files? Try the TracksCleaner icon and let it guide you through the actions. Please let me know how u get on.

Re ASOS, I must say it has just perked up mid-day, no doubt because the MM's read that Eric was forced into a SALE for all sorts of other gambles!

AdieH - 09 Nov 2004 14:44 - 727 of 5941

Can you explain what ghostsurf is, is it cleaning software for hard drive, deleting those dodgy sites we never go on?

johngtudor - 09 Nov 2004 14:57 - 728 of 5941

AdieH: GhostSurf is a suite of s/w aimed at removing 'Spyware' and allowing you to surf the net without revealing your IP Address. It also has a number of other useful features, eg cleaning up internet rubbish as well as a Secure Vault for all those files you do not anybody else to view!!! Having said that there are a number of other s/w suites available, I just happen to use this one, and I like it.

sandra: Do you have any other browser to use besides Windows Exporer on your PC? John

AdieH - 09 Nov 2004 16:37 - 731 of 5941

legend

See that you're a hero, even a legend, on your own BNH column after the share breaks 1. Kicking myself for not being in it but can't be everywhere. Will watch it though because your prediction of 1.50 seems reasonable - are you saying it won't double after all? Good for ASC to have some competition.

Eric

tbrooking66 - 10 Nov 2004 09:33 - 733 of 5941

EWRobson - Ramadan starting on friday leading to a PET decision? Don't want to be pedantic but Ramadan started about 4 weeks ago, so it is due to end soon not start.

legend290782 - 10 Nov 2004 13:33 - 734 of 5941

EWR, I think plenty more past 1.50, but when you buy at 61p you have to look at percentages and how much you have made. I am a pesimist I know, just like with this asc, when I sold thelot at 30-40...

There has been a bit of profit taking today and price down 7p. Not concerned at all. This BNH stock is a winner.

EWRobson - 10 Nov 2004 16:21 - 735 of 5941

tbrooking: Are you Trevor, by any chance? you must always get asked that! He really is a great guy - just heard a true story about his concern for the disadvantaged. You are absolutely right, I misread the calendar, substituting November for October. Ramadan finishes this weekend with the Eid feast so that Monday could be PET's day!

Legend: BHP does rocket around on small volumes! That suggests opportunities ahead. No criticism for understating the potential. I will be watching your bb closely for future action.

As various posters to the ASOS BB have spotted new advertising for our favourite stock they may be interested to see one today on www.skysports.com...Football...it pops up as a flash advertisement on the r.h.s.
of the screen! A splendid promotion for the companies products! John

John
Did mean to tell you, late the other night managed to log on to asos.com ...don't know how ,but looked at footware before going to bed. I'm sure I didn't dream it....but can't log back on again. Oh God...it's my age isn't it!!

johngtudor - 11 Nov 2004 13:41 - 738 of 5941

Sandra: I am sure all of us want you to buy lots of items from ASOS. So if you complete your MoneyAm profile I will be able to communicate with you outside this BB, as I am sure readers will not be interested in the details of sorting out this little problem! John

EWRobson - 11 Nov 2004 20:38 - 739 of 5941

Sandra and John

I perceive a little liaison developing. Now, Sandra, we want to see you at your best in ASOS clothes but we do want a bit of loyalty to the group, unless the favoured one is me, of course.

ASC price holding back nicely, John, so hopefully it is Blue Index tomorrow, a CFD and the holding built up nicely.

ASOS Challenge hotting up, as I'll report tomorrow. Seems more and more likely, as Sandra will confirm, that a positive RNS is imminent on PET. The dark horse is YOO. They are currently suspended whilst they try to swallow a monstrous gaming operation. I have argued on that bb that they could emerge at a significantly higher price. If they don't, there could be a short term buying opportunity. Not sure my old ticker can handle all this! I am just glad that there are false dawns elsewhere!
