THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Those lovey Liberals----- warning against a knee-jerk reaction-----how many terrorist incidents does it take. What an insult to those killed and wounded in such attacks

Fred1new - 06 Jun 2017 18:08 - 77423 of 81564

George,

No.

But I have a little list on which are written.

So be careful!

It is strange how individuals read the same and understand it the ways they wish to.

Preconceived ideas and "beliefs"?

I see you're going for the saddest person of the year award again this year , Freda , is that now 20 consecutive years you've won it . Well done .

ExecLine - 07 Jun 2017 11:23 - 77434 of 81564

Well, I have to admit, that reading the following has really upset me. It's a real 'eye opener'!

Indeed, I can now see much more clearly why tons of people hate the Tories so very much.

This stuff is definitely worth a read.

Loads and loads of really nasty Tory policies - 29 of them, actually

Fred1new - 07 Jun 2017 12:17 - 77435 of 81564

Post 77434.
The Mirror is a Labour rag so it will be biased, that's not dismissing their claims but they write, we read and then form our views, it's the same with a Tory rag.

I will vote based on the following which is not in order of priority.

Brexit negotiations start just a few days after the GE---who do I think will get the best deal

The economy--- without a thriving economy wealth cannot be created and sufficient taxes cannot be raised

Who will make a better job of keeping us safe

NHS who will take the tough decisions required to restore the NHS to it's former glory

There are many other factors such as:-

Shall I vote for a party who's leader and his next chancellor openly supports terrorism

Shall I vote for a party who's leader is promising everything to everybody

Shall I vote for a party who's leader is so academically challenged that he couldn't pass a classroom door.

Shall I vote for a party that borrowed to the hilt and left the country in dire straits and took great pleasure in letting the incoming coalition know that the cupboard was bare.
