Here's a picture of a man, pictured on the lawn of his Surrey mansion with his current wife, former Miss World Wilnelia Merced, his first wife, former dancer Penny Calvert, six children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His second wife, Anthea Redfern, even phoned to wish everyone a wonderful day.



His daughter Julie, 51 at the time said, "We stood in a line for a photograph, and as I glanced around me, at my sisters, my halfsisters, half-brother, step-mother and mother, it struck me that this was probably my father's greatest achievement."

He died at home earlier today, aged 89. He broke the world record for the longest ever TV career. I'm sure lots of people will miss him.

i'm sure he didn't really know who i was, yet ever the professional, greeted me as if he did

on stage, he was one of the last multi-faceted entertainers having been brought up in the music hall traditions, and such a talented man in so many areas

And they put the donkey down instead of the boys. No wonder some women wear the burkha. Maybe the donkeys require the burkha also on health and safety grounds. The donkeys H&S that is.

The first sign of rabies is usually a change in behaviour. Rabid animals usually stop eating and drinking, and may appear to want to be left alone.
So Dil, if your favourite sheep no longer wants affection, best call a vet.
