stopped out of short while out...just as well

Harlosh - 15 May 2007 17:12 - 7902 of 11056

122 pips for me today but think Cable has further to go so holding for the time being.

cynic - 15 May 2007 20:35 - 7903 of 11056

we think $ will weaken again, so sold for June at 1.9791 as anticipate 2.0000 will be seen again before then

hilary - 16 May 2007 08:30 - 7904 of 11056

Surely the greenback is only just starting the turn up on the dailies, cynic. The retracement these last couple of days has only seen it come back to its moving averages and all the indicators are pointing towards it strengthening during the summer quarter.

Cable looks a long again first thing this morning, but all eyes on the inflation report.

mg - 16 May 2007 09:18 - 7905 of 11056

Always like the contrarian path so short from 19870 - with a stop at entry - just in case :(

To be honest I reckon you're right Hilary - the $ looks as if it is due a correction, after checking out it's MA - but I'm probably a bit previous. You know my tendency for premature evaluation :)

MightyMicro - 16 May 2007 10:06 - 7906 of 11056

mg: :)

hilary - 16 May 2007 10:38 - 7907 of 11056

BoE Inflation Report

chocolat - 16 May 2007 11:00 - 7908 of 11056

And here's Hils's upside down ;)

hilary - 16 May 2007 11:22 - 7909 of 11056

Can you do upside-down cakes as well, Choccy?

:o)

chocolat - 16 May 2007 11:32 - 7910 of 11056

Rubbish with cakes, Hils, but it's always fun trying ;)

goforit - 16 May 2007 11:54 - 7911 of 11056

cable bouncing of a pivot level? added with tight stoploss

mg - 16 May 2007 12:45 - 7912 of 11056

:)))

I've got 1.9805ish as a possible turning point but expect it to challenge 1.9750ish so will keep position open with a profit stop in.

mm
Can be a bit messy but it sometimes gives the desired effect 8>)

mg - 16 May 2007 14:01 - 7913 of 11056

OOOOps - that caught me - stopped out for 40 pips

goforit - 16 May 2007 14:37 - 7914 of 11056

good thing i had tight stoplosses. internet v.slow here today(spain), anyone else having problems!

mg - 16 May 2007 16:17 - 7915 of 11056

Doncha just hate it when you get taken out by a stop and then it eventually does what you were punting :(

May try a long if it gets back to 790.

Seymour Clearly - 16 May 2007 17:02 - 7916 of 11056

Yesterday I thought I was being premature with my evaluation about closing my long out within the day. You could have had ~90-100 pips mg - annoying but there's always tomorrow. Just wish I'd reversed.

foale - 17 May 2007 08:21 - 7917 of 11056

Cable 1.9630-50 anybody..?

Seymour Clearly - 17 May 2007 08:30 - 7918 of 11056

I think 1.9760 is strong resistance. But WDIK :-)

Haven't got time to post a chart.

ptholden - 17 May 2007 08:31 - 7919 of 11056

<a href=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket" alt="" />

Personally I think it might just be a long this morning. Mind you my normal trading style is to decide what it should be and then do the opposite :)

mg - 17 May 2007 08:43 - 7920 of 11056

SC and PTH
I 'm long from 9760, 70, 80 and 90 - so I suggest you go short :(

Stops in at 19740 - a bit too generous I know - but I'm in one of those F....IT moods - S..T or bust is my back up safety position !!
