Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Vicky Darling,
You seem to be guilty of projection.

Let the inquiry run and hopefully the whole truth will come out and lessons learnt.
Current truth is that the fire spread via the cladding. It is also true that all buildings over 30m built since 2007 must have sprinklers installed. There is no requirement for retrofitting older buildings unless "a fundamental change is made to the structure or use of the building". That may change as a result of the inquiry. It seems sensible to me that retrofitting be carried out on all high rises wherever reasonably possible.
The original fire source would likely have been contained with sprinklers. However, we all have 20:20 hindsight and it is probably unfair to blame the council leaders unless specific advice to install them was given by the Fire and Rescue Services or council safety officers.

That seems sensible.
Health and safety regulations are improved post lousy accidents/incidents. Some foreseeable others unfortunately not.
My guess the draught effect of cladding had not been thought of.
But sprinklers, may have or probably would have prevented the inferno.

The original Blade Runner is a 1982 (I think) masterpiece !....the style of filming was years ahead of its time...(so was Alien 1979)...haven't seen the new Blade Runner....
