required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Spurs through......well done them......

Dil - 25 Aug 2010 23:19 - 62 of 6918

Chris ... best thing Leeds did was get rid of Beckford imo.

Joe Say - 26 Aug 2010 07:23 - 63 of 6918

why is there no 'Henry' outcry over Defoes blatant handball ?

Is it simply because clueless ITV covered the game ?

required field - 26 Aug 2010 08:12 - 64 of 6918

Why don't they have a fourth official in the crowd with some sort of communication with the ref....hand ball ref and the goal would not stand......not impressed with fifa at all....

Chris Carson - 26 Aug 2010 09:52 - 65 of 6918

Dil - In Moyes we trust! Beckford scored a pen last night, so that may boost his confidence :o)

The Villa lot are going down the pan at the moment, I think that : that is the second year in a row that they have gone out at the same stage to the same team...(I might be wrong about the team).....all that effort to get to the uefa cup wiped out....crazy....and as for Celtic......

Stan - 26 Aug 2010 23:00 - 67 of 6918

Hats off to The New Saints tonight http://tp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8944677.stm

I saw them in the last round against Anderlech and they gave a very crediable performance.

There are questions over Sofia's finances so I will be interested in the outcome http://tp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8944060.stm

I bet that Inter milan are not too happy with the draw : they might struggle to top the group.......Spurs can make it to the knockout stages with a couple of home wins under their belt...

required field - 27 Aug 2010 22:10 - 69 of 6918

Atletico have won.....I bet on Inter.....not getting any of my betting right at the moment.....going for a Gunners away win plus Spurs and Manu....odds for Chelsea are ridiculous.

Dil - 28 Aug 2010 01:23 - 70 of 6918

beatvictor.com ... anyone heard of it ?

;-)

Joe Say - 28 Aug 2010 07:54 - 71 of 6918

the demise of inter now they've lost god, and ended up with a scouse devil

Joe Say - 29 Aug 2010 09:35 - 72 of 6918

and now the demise of tottenham - just need the scousers now and we'll have the set.

Stan - 29 Aug 2010 09:50 - 73 of 6918

But Joe you seem to have forgotten Chelsky in that list -):

Won on Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea 2nd goal but lost on Spurs....going for Man C away....

HARRYCAT - 29 Aug 2010 21:13 - 75 of 6918

Rf, you might want to have a change of career as your footy bets are not doing your finances any good! Sunderland won v Man C.
Arsenal, Chelsea & Man U odds were so short you would have needed to put on a bundle to make any decent money.
I can't believe the number of injuries each of the top teams have (excl Liverpool). On the Physioroom website they are listing 4-6 guys out per team & we are only 3 weeks in to the season!

Dil - 30 Aug 2010 01:30 - 76 of 6918

Good news for England that Lampard and Terry are out imo ... but Terry looked allright to me when he left the pitch at the end of the match v Stoke , hmmmm.

Joe Say - 30 Aug 2010 09:01 - 77 of 6918

braindead posting alert

you've bought the media line (Gerard is great - lamps is rubbish) - look at the stats or if you've any footballing knowledge look at the 2 play and see which one is the more effective.

And JT did in fact play with an injury, setting up the first goal in style.

You should ask yourself why the muppet Fabio, can't get this out of his players - perhaps he just is nowhere as good as portrayed.

required field - 30 Aug 2010 10:00 - 78 of 6918

Harrycat...since I've been posting some of my bets : I've been losing.....only bet 10...maximum 20.....win 2 or 3 bets and lose the fourth one....standing still....might just pick one team and stick with them as too many picks seems to make losses.....

HARRYCAT - 30 Aug 2010 11:14 - 79 of 6918

Sod's law rf! I used to do an accumulator down at the local Corals, with 7 games selected. 2 nearly always let me down. So I changed to doing only 5 games and then 1 result would always let me down! Of course the bookies know the odds of winning are slim, but it doesn't stop us mugs from gambling!!!
Part of the problem for me was that I used to sit & watch Jeff Stelling on Sky sports news on a sat afternoon on Freeview, with his team of ex-footballers. Now they have stopped the Freeview transmission, so I have stopped doing the footy bets for the moment.

Chris Carson - 30 Aug 2010 11:54 - 80 of 6918

Better chance if you only pick 3 dead certs, including 1 of the old firm albeit Rangers as opposed to Celtic. Not easy to predict scorecast but obviously better odds. Player to score at anytime has been good for me. Good odds also for Rooney to score a hat trick, it will happen eventually :o))))
