Thanks JJ - I'm off for a quick cuppa-tea...give me a shout if
anything happens (giggle!) Hope things are going well for you today.

Fundamentalist - 28 Jun 2004 11:07 - 8482 of 23498

What a great brekkie - thanks for the extra bacon - crispy just how i like it.

Still holding PTG though have been tempted to sell a few times. 7p was my target price so if it gets there i will certainly top slice

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2004 11:34 - 8483 of 23498

Fingers crossed for you today - the whole market is currently in
bouyant mood it seems - said whilst touching wood quickly of course!

Fundamentalist - 28 Jun 2004 11:39 - 8484 of 23498

the prob I have with PTG is it goes against my investment style a bit. I usually invest on value/growth and my investment here was purely that i thought the share price discounted the value of the assets. However, it is nigh on impossible to currently value the assets so its a bit fingers crossed and very difficult to work out aqn exit point. 7p is 100% profit for me so maybe I should just take it and run, on the other hand the potential is there for these to go to 10/12p quite quickly - hmmm more thinking time i believe

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2004 11:58 - 8485 of 23498

Well I'm the last one who would knock investing on instinct as frankly
much of my investing is done on that basis...
So considering you went with your instincts on it Fundy,
as it was a different investing style, my
feelings would be set targets if you want, but the instinct that lead
you into buying it initially may be extremely valuable in helping you
decide when to exit as well. In short when it feels right go with your
gut feeling! I believe strongly that investing is a mix. of sound research
and a dash of instinct or gut feeling as well!

Chef - a medium tuna streak please with side salad and new potatoes
and a bottle of Shiraz Cab' to go with it and Fundy don't forget to order
your lunch whilst you're thinking....

Bunny

Sensible advice but instinct is a difficult quantity for an accountant lol!

Ill have a steak sandwich, heavy on the onions and a big plate of chips - with a glass of water - anti bios mean no cab shiraz for me till friday :-(
