Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

hilary - 21 Feb 2018 16:19 - 8721 of 12628

He likes the concept of a free press, Dil, so long as The Currant Bun only say nice things about him and don't call for him to be executed for treason. He sent four papers a nice video of himself, in which he said something like 'Come the Day of the Revolution...'

:o)

Dil - 21 Feb 2018 18:23 - 8722 of 12628

Lol , so come the day of the revolution everything else is going to be free according to the loony except the press.

That guy is comedy gold.

2517GEORGE - 21 Feb 2018 18:25 - 8723 of 12628

Dil, in addition to the Currant Bun he also sent the video along with his threats to The Mail; Telegraph and The Express

ExecLine - 21 Feb 2018 18:29 - 8724 of 12628

I'm doing some debating at the mo' and wondering if I should vote for Corbyn and Co and let all these crappy kids pick up the eventual bill.

After all, Gordon Brown did get me my IceSave money back after the Icelandic banks went tits up. Maybe I owe him one?

Thinks......??? Will JRM do that for me if ever the need arises? Hmmm?

399 days to go Fred

Fred1new - 23 Feb 2018 11:42 - 8727 of 12628

Will you last that long, or will the suspense kill you?

Dil - 23 Feb 2018 20:22 - 8728 of 12628

What suspense ?

We're leaving so get over it.

EU meeting today to discuss the 10%+ hole in their budget when we leave. Givers don't want to give anymore and takers don't want to take any less.

Personally I no longer give two monkeys what they decide.

Happy days.

Max,

Watch it, son!

You have taken away my raison d'être.

Besides, it is not a fair appraisal of assessment of that united bunch of " s".
8-)

MaxK - 24 Feb 2018 08:43 - 8731 of 12628

Morning Fred.

I thought it was fair comment on the shenanigans going to in the tory party.

It's a shame the cartoonist doesent do the same for the old labour party, who would make the tories look like amatuers when it comes to back stabbing.

hilary - 24 Feb 2018 10:45 - 8732 of 12628

I never listen to it because they don't play any Camila Cabello, but Tony Blair told BBC Radio 4’s World At One that Maggie will be forced to hold a second referendum when she falls on her sword in October.

It's in The Currant Bun, so it must be true.

Time to recount those days, Dilbert. :o)

iturama - 24 Feb 2018 13:20 - 8733 of 12628

My education continues, I now know what the current bun means. I always thought of an Eccles cake. Right good they are.

Fred1new - 24 Feb 2018 16:19 - 8734 of 12628

Max.

Labour may have its problems, but this present tory government must go down in the history as the most incompetent and directionless in recent history.

The components parts of it are in disarray and more interest in their own "places" in history rather than "governing" for the good of the country.

The problem presented to May by overconfident and shortsighted Cameron and partners may end up in the split up of the tory party.

W/s.

The stealthy rise of Martin Selmayr, the 'monster' of Brussels, shows why we must go

They call him 'Rasputin', and the stitch-ups he engineered were a key factor in 2016's Brexit vote

It was the perfect coup. Until recently, no one imagined that Martin Selmayr had any ambitions to run the European Union civil service – or that such a job could be used as a political power base. When he was named as Eurocrat-in-chief, two days ago, his enemies were astonished.

He had not been on any shortlist; they had no time to organise against him. But the most ambitious man in Brussels – nicknamed “Rasputin,” “the monster” and worse – will soon be in charge of the whole machine with its 32,000 staff. As one EU official put it: “he takes all the power – completely.”

Hils , have faith. We will leave on 29/03/19.

There is no appetite from either side for another referendum. All we have is a disproportionate amount of air time being given to hardened remoaners who still won't accept the result.

Can't wait to see how Labour explain how staying in the customs union in its current form equates to leaving the EU and how much he is willing to pay for the privilege.

hilary - 26 Feb 2018 11:28 - 8738 of 12628

Dilbert,

I had faith in Alvaro Morata yesterday. Fat lot of good that did!

:o)

Boris Johnson
✔ @BorisJohnson

Corbyn’s Brexit plan would leave U.K. a colony of the EU - unable to take back control of our borders or our trade policy. White flag from labour before talks even begin.
