dd,
Always watch when I can, F1, touring, F3000, Porsche cup, Le Mans when they show it, and moto gp, superbikes etc. Bit of a petrol-head in that sense. What about you, saw your posts about photography in the past, do you take any interest these days?

daves dazzlers - 11 Jul 2004 14:58 - 9602 of 23498

a bit in the rally side still, went to monte in january, that was my last overseas event, there is one coming up in britain september i belive the jim clark rally.very much like the old R.A.C.rally of 15 years ago 4/5 days, going around the country, cumbria, wales yorkshire,i think scotland.the drivers will start early morning, till late evening, will be a great event many top drivers will enter, weather will be handy in september should still be warm!!!makes a change,as the rac rally was allways november,.cold, wet, foggy, snow, the lot.it will be nice to in to the forest`s when its warm and sunny, fingers crossed.

STORMCALLER - 11 Jul 2004 15:12 - 9603 of 23498

I presume you will pay them a visit as it is on your manor. Used to know a guy went all over UK as marshall for rallying, real dedication for unpaid job, just wanted to be involved, bit obsessed I think.

daves dazzlers - 11 Jul 2004 15:20 - 9604 of 23498

yes you do get that in all motorsport.i think alot of those people offer there services , because they get a better view, than the paying public.its nearly allways the car clubs that do the marshalling on these events, stormee are you down south,,and not up noth then.

STORMCALLER - 11 Jul 2004 15:30 - 9605 of 23498

Afraid so, London, under the malevolent gaze of Red Ken. While ago, spent six months working in Oswestry with small team, one of whom was so impressed he has now moved near there. What a different environment, frankly envy him, but numbers don't do it at the moment for me. We used to go to Chirk to play golf in evenings to chill.

daves dazzlers - 11 Jul 2004 15:50 - 9606 of 23498

nice place oswestry, quite, and good road links.on the golf side i think ian woosee`s from that neck of the woods.
some nice forests around there ,dyfi.dafnant, sweet lamd, real rally stages.some good links courses not to far from me,right on the beach.

Jeff,

Paid a visit to Columbia Road this morning at long last.

An Orchid, a Bird of Paradise, couple of Gerboras, couple of Sunflowers, a 6' tall Orange Bougainvillea, a Hibiscus and a little bit more ..... all for 40. I just need some old chimney pots now.

:o)

daves dazzlers - 11 Jul 2004 16:01 - 9611 of 23498

socs,do you ever go to the rally {network q} based at chelt race course i went last 2 years, didn`t rate it at chelt, to compact stage wise.

STORMCALLER - 11 Jul 2004 16:05 - 9612 of 23498

dd,
Place we stayed for a while, chap who ran it was member of Llanymynech, he was kind enough to sign some of the guys in as guests, beautiful course. Unfortunately I was left out, love the game but I have 2 probs with golf "what's your handicap?" "woods & irons"..."what's wrong with them" "the **nt on the end". Bottom of the story, Woosie is touring pro there. I have to leave for a while now, maybe back later.
