FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

So, half if he stays well behaved and also early release, with conditions, due to overcrowding, so should serve about 30 months. Think his City career is a bit screwed though!

Harry - if he takes a leaf out of Leeson's book - his future will be in after dinner speaking.

THE HP write down $8.8B due to 'accounting irregularities' at AU. seems very strange - I think they only paid $10B in total.

Both FTSE and Wall St should recover above 200 DMA today and tomorrow, I think Thursday will have change of direction. Wall St lagging so should be easier to trade IMO..

In Ireland? :-)

Nice edit!

I was wondering why that sudden surge: a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel reportedly was "imminent".

skinny - 20 Nov 2012 15:59 - 9698 of 21973

Yes - its a start hopefully.

Shortie - 20 Nov 2012 16:04 - 9699 of 21973

I doubt the ceasefire had much to do with it.

skinny - 20 Nov 2012 16:08 - 9700 of 21973

No - but it is, however temporary, a stop to the killing.
