FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

walmart said in early November it was broadening its investigation regarding allegations of potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations in Mexico to include India, China and Brazil.

corruption in those countries? .... isn't that just extraordinary - who would ever have thought it?

Wall St Daily with support and resistance, looks like the old bullish channel broken back in July is coming back into play as marked. However note this pullback could be nothing more than a correction as the newer July / August bear channel is still active and supported by moving average crosses.

Wall St 2 Hr Chart above shows we're into overbought territory just above resistance, wise call Cynic to see if its going to hold...
