rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

i'm not sure if us gov't or whoever it is, is naive or stupid or hypocritical - or perhaps all 3! ...... if you want to do biz in many regions, "commissions" are payable ..... you don't want to pay? .... fine, we'll give the biz to someone else

sort of bugger - got stopped out of dow too early, limit up at 12930 but as i have a long ftse running, so real prob .... shall now watch to see whether or not dow can hold above 12940

Wall St Daily with support and resistance, looks like the old bullish channel broken back in July is coming back into play as marked. However note this pullback could be nothing more than a correction as the newer July / August bear channel is still active and supported by moving average crosses.
