stockbunny - 21 Jul 2004 10:05 - 10124 of 23498

It's Wednesday - menu change day...
No starters this week, due to a slight 'can't be asked' attitude in the
kitchen (giggle) as the weather is still 'average' it seems hot food is
still really required - if that doesn't turn the weather round nothing will!

Main Courses:
Italian Fish Stew - mixed fish and seafood, with saffron and garlic.

Peppered Rib Beef - Boned, rolled and flavoured with herbs and garlic.

Lamb Cutlets with Apricots - braised cutlets delicately flavoured with
both apricots and cinnamon.

Turkey Escalopes with Asparagus - served with sage and a cream sauce.

All the above served with a choice of Fennel, mange tout, French beans,
Fantail potatoes and glazed carrots.

Desserts:
Strawberry and Champagne Jelly.
Lemon Cheesecake.
Creme Caramel.
(With the usual choice of creme frais, single cream or yoghurt)

stockbunny - 21 Jul 2004 11:53 - 10125 of 23498

enjoy the sunshine.

optomistic - 21 Jul 2004 14:04 - 10128 of 23498

Afternoon all, excitment on the market! I hold TBI and millions of them are being sold and the price is rising. Large pot of tea to calm me down I think

stockbunny - 21 Jul 2004 14:18 - 10129 of 23498

One large pot of tea coming up.....could this be a profitable afternoon
for you today Opto? (fingers and ears crossed for you!)

optomistic - 21 Jul 2004 14:44 - 10130 of 23498

Afternnon Bunny, Nice pot of tea always welcome :) Showing only a small gain on TBI right now but the interest is in the very large volume of sells and the price firm. Looks to me like someone is stakebuilding, TBI as you will know has been a takeover spec for ages, would be nice if it finally materialises. Don't leave your ears crossed Bunny it must be very
uncomfortable :-))

stockbunny - 21 Jul 2004 14:53 - 10131 of 23498

True and could do some terrible things to my circulation..maybe that's
why my ears have turned blue....lol!

As you say it's curious on TBI...could there be news in the background?
it never ceases to amaze me how often the price breaks a few days before
some news breaks..and considering the rules on trading, I can only think
ESP or crystal ball useage is far more wide-spread then we think..!

My 'hit' list is diminishing following research - now I'm only picking over
three real contenders....well at the moment anyway!!

Where is everyone today??????
I'm off out back to grab a cuppa out in the sunshine and a ciggie...

optomistic - 21 Jul 2004 15:03 - 10132 of 23498

Very curious TBI. Large sells - price rises. Why would these large holders who I presume to be well informed sell if something good was around the corner.
And why should the price rise if something was untoward. Difficult to work it out being just a simple lad from up North!!
Any help from anyone? Plenty of time must go to the supermarket.

optomistic - 21 Jul 2004 16:14 - 10133 of 23498

Answer on the TBI thread, It appears that it is all down to Vinci selling its 10% holding.

Socrates - 21 Jul 2004 17:54 - 10134 of 23498

Perhaps PTG want to buy TBI, LOL.

Good evening all, speaking of action, anyone else in MPH? Glad I topped up because this one could go ballistic. Get the kettle on, it's time for tea and sherry trifle. One the other hand, I could murder a plate of baked beans on fried bread.

jeffmack - 21 Jul 2004 19:18 - 10135 of 23498

Evening all

Anyone seen Fundy, hope he didnt get upset by any cat comments

little woman - 21 Jul 2004 20:41 - 10136 of 23498

Evening all,

just dropped in for a Kir, while waiting for someone to "divert my attention" :-)

Fundamentalist - 21 Jul 2004 22:09 - 10137 of 23498

Evening

Yes I did get upset - but only by one exceptionally insensitive comment! My absence is more down to a knackered laptop - the keyboard is only working intermittently and DIY - redone the dining room over the last few days and in the process of buying another place to renovate - spent most of the day on the phone to estate agent/solcitor/contractors etc etc.

jeffmack - 21 Jul 2004 23:17 - 10138 of 23498

Welcome back fundy

Golddog - 21 Jul 2004 23:40 - 10139 of 23498

If i got my bone out little woman would that "divert your attention"?

Fundy, What's your fav tipple my friend? a beer or a glass of wine or something a little stronger? or maybe just a cuppa? i shall get it straight away cos you sound like you need a rest! and at your age to! :-)

jeffmack, we having another gee gee race this Sat?

amberjane - 22 Jul 2004 01:28 - 10140 of 23498
