STORMCALLER - 31 Jul 2004 12:37 - 10641 of 23498

Afternoon all,
Brief visit after trolley grand prix. Failed to follow up on last weeks stunning victory, not surprised really, team more focussed on contract renewals. Seem worried I might be leaving them to take up tempting offer from Tesco's.
Will let them sweat for a bit before I sign, might squeeze a bit more bread out of the tightwads.
Race was going splendidly after gaining three places away from grid, then half way through, engine blew under heavy braking into deli-complex, bugger.
Some tea and and one of your excellent doughnuts if I may bunny, and the same for my race engineer, forgot to get his tea-bags, hell to pay when he finds out.

stockbunny - 31 Jul 2004 12:47 - 10642 of 23498

oh dear...coming right up Stormy

STORMCALLER - 31 Jul 2004 12:54 - 10643 of 23498

Thank you bunny, this is the only place to get doughnuts in my view, when you are here at least, despite my full schedule today, just couldn't resist.
Also needed a bit of building up, looks like I'm in for a kicking from chocolat for finishing the bubbly and running away earlier.

Fundamentalist - 31 Jul 2004 12:56 - 10644 of 23498

Afternoon all. Just popped in for a quick celebratory drink now that I am back on-line and no one's here. Oops ... what the .... a Buddha - where did he come from? Feng shui may be on the up but if it is just you and me Buddha, I had better make the drink tea. Chinese or Indian old pal?

Socrates - 31 Jul 2004 18:59 - 10647 of 23498

Hello all. Socco's back hotfoot from the NEC and the antiques fair. Managed to escape without coughing up for valuable, one time opportunity that is always on offer.

Time to put my feet up and take a well earned siesta, I hate the M5.

optomistic - 31 Jul 2004 19:08 - 10648 of 23498

Oh dear jj what a long wait you have had. I was just passing by and saw you there, asleep in the corner. I will make you a cup of Indian to refresh you.
Dont worry about Bud, I have a pink elephant at home, used to be white but he got emulsioned during reckless painting session. I'll bring him in it will be company for Bud on these quiet days. The lights are on now anyone about.

optomistic - 31 Jul 2004 19:09 - 10649 of 23498

Hello Socs

Socrates - 31 Jul 2004 19:15 - 10650 of 23498

Hello Opto, is it just we two then?

optomistic - 31 Jul 2004 19:19 - 10651 of 23498

Looks like it Socs. It's Saturday and the young fillies like to hit the high spots tonight. I'm having a night in, couldn't stand all the excitment, nightclubs etc.

Priscilla - 31 Jul 2004 19:29 - 10652 of 23498

err.....I'm here too! Just dropped by for a quick chilled cocktail, if that's alright?

optomistic - 31 Jul 2004 19:31 - 10653 of 23498

Certainly is Priscilla, are you on your way out downtown?

Socrates - 31 Jul 2004 19:35 - 10654 of 23498

Priscilla
What a delight. Still in DYS I see. Let's open a bottle of fizz.

jj50 - 31 Jul 2004 19:52 - 10655 of 23498

Socs. Now you are talking my language. Can I beg a glass too?

Evening Priscilla. The Gooseberry Martini did the trick with the BT guy this afternoon and after **** days I am back in action. Many thanks. Your cocktail is on me.

Priscilla - 31 Jul 2004 20:07 - 10656 of 23498

Sounds too tempting to refuse! Thanks, jj......!

Socs.....yep, still in there and looking forward to the AGM. Got a few more racy stocks on the list now too. DYS has now matured into a pretty safe investment. Needed to find younger companies with hot potential.

Big Al - 31 Jul 2004 20:34 - 10657 of 23498

Evening boys and girls.

Sorry I've not popped by for a while, but have been rather too busy to socialise. Just popped in for a quickie and to leave the latest batch of homemade lemonade to be mixed with whatever you fancy.

I'm just here to fire in a quick shot of cherry vodka from the freezer - can't beat it. The consistency of treacle, but the kick of a ruddy mule!!

Needed that!

How's everyone doing and "Hi" Prissy! ;-))

Socrates - 01 Aug 2004 07:44 - 10658 of 23498

Hi Big Al.

Good morning all, early start and just famished so I'll have the traditional "heart attack on a plate", a full English breakfast, hold the mushrooms. Someone else can have those.

I'll have to work again this week, lottery let me down yet again. Off this morning to another antiques fair today. I might buy some posh cutlery for the cafe, I really don't like this plastic stuff, very motorway caff, not my style at all.

jeffmack - 01 Aug 2004 09:57 - 10659 of 23498

Good morning
Just returned from a trip to Philadelphia where I went with some friends to watch the Man Utd V Celtic game. Had a fantastic week but now back for a rest.. Apologies for no nags comp this week, I will post a race next friday for Saturday, but I will not be around after Friday afternoon as I am off to Ireland for the weekend for a wedding.
