Why did I say that??? Because he's right, 200 machines does not justify the current sp, they need more and a deal for Starpol, and Eric also agrees.
Predicting last weeks RNS was easy, probably lower odds than Chelski winning the premiership but it worked, especially a week before a packaging conference as the sp recovered in the anticipation of something major from US, maybe an RNS tomorrow? I personally think the clearest picture of how successful SEO will be will emerge early next year, not the results for 2005 which we know will be a loss but a market update on the Asda Greenseal agreement. Starpol is also becoming SEO's Greenseal ticket because the film cannot be heat-sealed.

The T&G report to me is both conservative of possibilites and at the same time has many "expected but yet to be confirmed assumptions" in predicting the future sales/profits and EPS which ultimately means sp once the share comes out of hypeville and bashville.
Right now the sp has 2006 already in it with more added on so no news soon and I predict another down-trend for a while, was 12p good support or didn't it have long enough to test due to the RNS and impending conference?

In case you wonder, still have my shares in certificate form for long-term bought at 5.45p but still none in my nominee account which once held 2/3rds of my holding in SEO. If I had bought at 12-13p for nominee last week I'd have sold at 18p this week, classic borson week for me. Good Luck.

The combined power of EVERYONE on this board wont make much difference on the sp. We all own a couple of million together.

Whether you think its value is a mid teens price or not is fine-but I know that three MM's are supporting a mid teens price. Heard it from the horses mouth as it were. I dunno how long for, but for a bit.

I think trading on todays situation its at the 10p level-the extra 5p for the possible explosion from a US deal and possible future sales.

I totally agree with the last line of your post-its a traders dream. We need to keep to the dips!

you have got me confused. when did nw sign up for greenseal? when did nw announce that they are supplying starpol to european supermarkets? why add to the confusion? why not just wait until seo actually announce something?

would not recormend a compedtors product unless they have tested
there products and agreed some sort of deal
there are no angles inthis game or fools

Sorry to add to the confusion havent got time to post all of the info but here are the salient pastes from my files.

2/07/2005 SEO announces
SEO and SP Metal own Biotec SEO has the golden share. You may think that they are competitors but NB.
SEO is a IP Co specializing in Packaging and RF Technology only. (Full Stop) SEO do not manufacture Starpol film. They own 50% of Biotec who make Starpol 2000 pellets and resins.
SP metal is a converter of Biotec pellets into packaging products, ie plastic bags and films.
SEO call the Biotec film Starpol 2000.
SP Metal call it Biodegradable film.

19th July 2005 Stanelco confirms Mondini as Partner for Greenseal. (G. Mondini supply tray lidding machines to NatureWorks LLC etc. (Not in USA as far as I know)

SP Metal is a very large Co but probably has the worst PR. You can try to email them for clarification of where the 10,000 tons of Starpol is going, but dont hold your breath. They appear to operate on a need to know basis.

I know that packaging is now stanelcos main buisness, but I was wondering if the growth in japan might support the communications/. electronics side of the buisness and improve revenue From memory that seemed to be were a lot of their buisness came from. Does anyone elsa have any thoughts? Or have I got it all wrong!!!!

Its not often that I agree with ii, but I think that the price is heading south now until a really positive RNS appears.

The results of the ASDA Starpol trial is two and half weeks away. Lets hope that we don't have to wait that long for something to bite on.

May be a bit late to add, but I am intrigued by the possibilities of the dissolvable sachet that sainsburys were to use for soup. Can't think how to phrase the question, but are there any movements or developements either on that front with sainsburys or any signs that this may be discussed with the Knorr/Heinz type companies, or even discussed with MOD type establishments as better field supplies?
Its another one of those where the possibilities just keep adding up and since the product is, in effect, developed I can't understand the quietness on that front.

Soup packets were always going to be low margin, low volume affairs; would a customer want to put a whole packet into a cup as well?

Hygiene reasons for me would make this a no!

Fair point sham, but if the packet was boiled the hygeine is not an issue, and leaving the retail market aside for a moment, outdoor type activity places are always looking for this kind of product as simple, lightweight, and easily disposed of, and they will pay a large premium for those attributes.
Can't help thinking, also, that armed forces worldwide, spend a great deal of time ensuring that they leave no trace of where they have been, for security reasons, and so have to take all the provisions packaging with them when they have used their supplies. If I was CO in the paras, or something I would want to know more about the potential applications!
I don't for one moment think it is a mega margin producing thing, but it intrigues me as to where the idea went.

Have read the sas books and they even carry their own faeces with them rather than leave them for someone to find!

Re the disolvable packaging. As i understand it back in the days when Reckitts were looking at the issue re washing powder, blocks etc, the idea was for the portions to be in the disolvable wraps which in turn would have been in a larger none disolvable ( but still biodegradable ) packet. The same would presumable be with soups, so the hygiene issue would not arise. The issue was more for convenience from what i remember and also the less waste.

morning. ynotif, a little convoluted but a possibilty that you are right. it just makes you wonder why seo don't make things less ambiguous in the announcements. maybe then howard wouldn't have to come out with crap like, "the market doesn't understand" .
alan, the dissolvable packaging is from aquasol and i believe is still there in the background.
