Football, What chances !, World Cup, Euro, Clubs, for all : home and away ! (FC)

required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Most of the GB team need going back to Football school....what do they do at the training ground ?......at times : this is so poor....the play should be far better than this...and why the hell do they call it the GB team....shouldn't it be the UK team ?.....

required field - 04 Aug 2012 21:56 - 1202 of 6918

Nothing wrong with the defense or attack, but usual crap in midfield where nobody seems to understand as what should be done.......

required field - 04 Aug 2012 21:59 - 1203 of 6918

Whoever gets gets through will be thrashed by Brazil on this performance........is this the best the UK can put out.......?..................

required field - 04 Aug 2012 22:00 - 1204 of 6918

Looks like they should have picked Beckham.....

required field - 04 Aug 2012 22:20 - 1205 of 6918

I knew it....as soon as they get to penalties....usual muck-up.......without being called racist or what......limit the number of black players in a side in the UK......2 or 3...maximum.......no more.....this is not Brazil with tremendous talents with fantastic flair......and what's the idea of sticking a tongue out at the opposing player....yellow card in my opinion......

required field - 04 Aug 2012 22:40 - 1206 of 6918

I know that England with Chelsea are Europeans champions but there is something wrong with the way way young players are being coached....it is clear that the talents, and there are some, are not being groomed in the right way.....as soon as the ball arrives in midfield : nobody has a clue as what to do with it most of the the time, this is frustrating because the defenses and upfront attacks are fine once the ball gets there...it's the lack of imagination from defense to midfield and coordination from midfield to attack that's at fault....big problem to be addressed by all manager-trainers in the UK as a whole!....

Chris Carson - 04 Aug 2012 23:04 - 1207 of 6918

Unlucky Wales :O) Total poo, but surely there is some disparity here, how is it that the best British Tennis player in Britain can compete in the olympics together with Federer etc yet our best footballers don't or can't or are not allowed, where is the logic?

Dil - 05 Aug 2012 11:25 - 1208 of 6918

Never seen so many Union flags in Cardiff in all my life.

Party atmosphere inside and outside the ground but the football was dire. On the plus side we were sat 2 rows from the pitch slightly to the right of where all the pens were taken.

RF , I blame Pearce for consistently playing with just one up front and that being the reason our midfield either passed sideways or backwards. Bellamy or Giggs should have played up alongside Sturridge to give us more movement and opportunities of playing balls fowards. Our negativity got what it deserved.

Dil - 07 Aug 2012 00:22 - 1209 of 6918

Bellamy coming home.

A good bet would be perhaps on Montpellier tonight to win rather than the Jamaican 100m relay where the odds are hopeless.....I wouldn't be surprised if the USA won that tonight...

required field - 10 Aug 2012 21:40 - 1212 of 6918

Not so good my bet on Montpellier....too early in the season for football bets.....

Dil - 11 Aug 2012 20:44 - 1213 of 6918

As predicted Bellamy signed for Cardiff yesterday and Michael Owen is 1/4 to follow him.

Beat Newcastle 4-1 today without Bellamy and our S Korean bronze medallist (who was named in the team of the tournament).

We had a crap squad last year and still made the play offs and League Cup final , we're going up as champions this year.

Chris Carson - 11 Aug 2012 22:44 - 1214 of 6918

Good luck Dil, if you can keep Owen out of sick bay he and Bellamy might just do the trick for you. I'm guessing Swansea will take your place in the Championship till the following year that is. :O)

Chris Carson - 12 Aug 2012 00:30 - 1215 of 6918

PS So you can enjoy the derbys again' in the Championship obviously :O) I'll give good odds that Brendon Rogers will last at least 6 months at Liverpool and Man U shares will be a screaming short before 3, haven't decided yet whether that is 3 weeks or 3 months :O)

Dil - 12 Aug 2012 00:38 - 1216 of 6918

That bunch of tippy-toe pass it sideways pass it backwards load of in-bred pikeys have sold the only player they had that ran foward to Man City (Sinclair).

This time next year Del Boy we'll be stuffing the likes of Everton if they stay up :-)

Chris Carson - 12 Aug 2012 00:46 - 1217 of 6918

Exactly mate, but don't worry you will soon be re-united. Keep dreaming about stuffing Everton, League Cup, FA Cup only chance you may get and if it happens slim and none springs to mind :O)

required field - 12 Aug 2012 11:49 - 1218 of 6918

Mexico might do the same thing again in two years time if they bump into Brazil again........not good at defending at all the Brazilians....

I see the return of oikball is upon us. Interesting comparison between the overpaid, overhyped, moaning cheating posers of premiership football and the true athletes of the Olympics. Oh, there is no comparison, the oiks would have a collective heart attack if they had to train like the Olympians and as far sportsmanship is concerned that disappeared a long time ago from the pitch and terraces.

Chris Carson - 12 Aug 2012 17:08 - 1220 of 6918

Horses for courses eh chuckles, personally I'm quite happy only to see the Olympics every four years. Have to admit I could put up with the Ladies volleyball every week though. If It was every year I doubt we would see the same excellance (the other events I'm referring to of course not the volley ball) :O)
