PT - Alleyne, like 10B, is worth avoiding .... his only saving grace is that his rather personal attacks take up less page space.

it is a common misconception, that investors who make use of charts (of which there are many varieties), are stupid enough to think they are the Holy Grail, which of course they are not, though they are very useful tool ....... nevertheless it takes a narrow-minded bigot (none spring immediately to mind!) to refuse to accept that charts and market/share movements are inextricably linked, not least because so many PI investment decisions and computer trading programmes are (effectively) based on or triggered by them ...... thus, whether illogical or not, charts are frequently self-fulfilling.

as an openly admitted shorter of SOLA, I shall be watching the share movements carefully, as recommended by you (PT) ...... i confess i had hoped or even expected sp to fall quite sharply, not least because investors are moving into the newly-arrived rival PVCS (had a very good write-up in this morning's Telegraph) ....... however, SOLA sp has stayed (remarkably) steady, so just maybe a recovery could be staged - nous verrons

These people work a 24 hour day, refining, improving,sourcing, producing, and most importantly, selling. Excellent forward-thinking management,and a loyal bond with customers and suppliers. There is no way that this can go down.World leader within 12 months.

i shorted at 530, so self-apparent ..... Can't say I am bothered about a few idiotic comments (I was reading in the Times last week that an Idioit has an IQ in the region of 2). I'm more than happy for other posters to slate my TA as long as it's done in a constructive way with a well presented counter argument. Can't stand these idiots (IQ of 2) who are unable to build in a rational sense their own case. In any event the TA was proven right to a degree and was in profit, shame it didn't hit the target of 480p but time yet.

Alleyne, I've made a lot of money here since last summer, then shorted and made some more. I've played this current range and now short again. It's hardly on the rise that much and with 3/4 of my profits in PV Crystalox (up almost 20% since float), Sola would have to be trading at roughly 660/680p just to equal my returns. I accept everyone has different strategies, but I can afford to run my short for a while (if I don't get too bored). The volume has been flimsy and with increasing competition and following such massive 400-500% gains I'd rather hedge my bets that it could well fall.

You lost me a bit on the "warning". Anyone taking long or short positions takes that decision themselves and pays the consequences.

Ouch.The week ends with another sharp sword cut across the arris of the shorters. You were warned, and I'm not surprised I lost you hounddog. Now the AGM is coming up. Mercy! LOL!
