Thank you for your comments guys.

I have a reasonable sized holding in this - and I agree with biscuit - if this had gone tits up we would have heard by now - either officially - or via a very strong rumour mill.

Apart from the odd rumour about trials not going well , which have so far proved to be unfounded - we do know that they are behind schedule - but this was probably due to poor planning - rather than anything technical.

We will not hear anything tomorrow - bad day for releasing RNS's - so earliest we will hear anything will be next week - but I still favour the scenario that they will release a close statement when they have got some good news to spread.

Some how I doubt Stanelco would have allowed Starpol to be tested by ASDA before they were doubly sure that it was water tight, Martin Wagner would have known exactly what standard ASDA were looking for. You should only have doubts if you haven't done your research properly but in my view if that's the case then you shouldn't be investing in shares anyway. Remember Martin Wagner has worked for ASDA, Terry Robbins for Sainsbury's, these are not fools that the company has employed, they were employed for a reason!

I hope you are right, Baza. I think you are right!!
My nightmare scenario though, is that the lack of news causes a steady drift, which in turn causes chart or jittery selling, causing the pace of drift to pick up. If that happens then the best close statement in the world aint gonna help too much. It needs to be sooner rather than later, to smooth ruffled feathers.

ok guys next concern - I thought I would try a bit of bravado and BUY a few more - not many - but BSL have stopped dealing on line because the MM's have removed them from the system. What does that tell us ????

Can anyone see level 2? Is there any sort of clue there?
Alan

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 13:55 - 13168 of 27111

who's BSL?

bhunt1910 - 01 Dec 2005 13:56 - 13169 of 27111

Barclays StockBrokers Ltd

L2 is 2:3 @ 12.75 : 13 and 50k : 195k

hewittalan6 - 01 Dec 2005 13:58 - 13170 of 27111

And they are trading, a sell has just gone through.

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 14:01 - 13171 of 27111

So your saying that BSL won't trade in shares of a fully listed company on the LSE?

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 14:04 - 13172 of 27111

Bhunt if I were you I'd change stockbrokers pretty sharpish.

bhunt1910 - 01 Dec 2005 14:04 - 13173 of 27111

Only over the telephone - they have stopped dealing on line because MM's have removed them from their automated system.

I can still buy - but only at telephone commissionn rates - rather than the online rates of 7.50

bhunt1910 - 01 Dec 2005 14:06 - 13174 of 27111

So biscuit - can you still get an online quote for 50,000 shares - who are you with please?

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 14:08 - 13175 of 27111

Share Centre

jimmy b - 01 Dec 2005 14:09 - 13176 of 27111

I just went online chaps and i couldn't buy (i'm just trying it on your behalf) ,this only happens usually when the SP is moving fast either way ,and the MM's stop you dealing electronically ,,,this ia strange as it's not a busy day for SEO so far ..

bhunt1910 - 01 Dec 2005 14:17 - 13177 of 27111

......Jimmy thats my worry

Now just maybe - just maybe there is a businesswire announcement being timed for release to the US Market at 8.30 (2.30 our time). Someone said that MM's get RNS's 1 hour before official release. No idea if this is true - and maybe I am clutching at straws - but could that be an explanation - that a business wire is due for release which will cause panic or joy and ...and....

ok - I am clutching at straws - but I cant see a logical explanation at the moment.

Maybe BSL has a system problem?

jimmy b - 01 Dec 2005 14:20 - 13179 of 27111

Just phoned up Barclays ,,they couldn't give me a reason either ,,MM's ,they are a law unto themselves ...

garyble - 01 Dec 2005 14:29 - 13180 of 27111

Does the 1st of the month play any part in this dip?

I believe so.

Happy to hold.
