just found this news piece, SMALL-CAPS: NICE GIVES ULTRASIS LITTLE CAUSE FOR ANXIETY
By Robert Orr
Published: August 24 2005 03:00 am

"Ultrasis, which has developed computer-based technology to treat depression and anxiety, was a talking point with more than 200m shares traded, 10 times the daily average and more than any other UK stock.

There were rumours that the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (Nice) was close to recommending the technology. Other buyers said Ultrasis's non-drug treatment could benefit from the news linking GlaxoSmithKline's depression drug Paxil with a higher risk of suicide. Ultrasis rose 13 per cent to 2.17p".

danny52 - 24 Aug 2005 12:39 - 129 of 1525

dont think anyone should get out till after Nov reccomendation from NICE,, then it should be about 5p per share if not more

WOODIE - 24 Aug 2005 12:46 - 130 of 1525

what people have to decide is how long they want to be commited to the stock,as the longer you are prepered to wait the greater % rise looks on the cards once the green light from nice is given this will open up markets aboard.

Quickpix - 24 Aug 2005 12:49 - 131 of 1525

I think they will have to retrace the price a bit so it does n't get ahead of its self
No share goes straight up. Might get back in if it does.
I admitt i have sold 80% of my hold, but i could n't cope with the risk (Also took my first 250% profit) I kept some for a free ride for the kids though!
Good luck all

WOODIE - 24 Aug 2005 13:44 - 132 of 1525

quickpix NICE one

croeso - 24 Aug 2005 13:47 - 133 of 1525

Like you Quickpix I sold 75%of my hold and enjoyed a 120% profit.
Nothing to be ashamed of, thats why we bought them.

WOODIE - 24 Aug 2005 13:55 - 134 of 1525

in my opion the worst thing to do at the moment is to sell all of ones holding what no one knows is when the next piece of positive news will be released if it is soon these prices wont be here for long if a few months time then it will drift down everyone to there own trading decisions.

Quickpix - 24 Aug 2005 22:35 - 135 of 1525

I forgot tell you all good old ult as took me up to 6th place in yahoo's fantsey trading game and i only joined in a month ago!

I have actually owed ult for over 2 yrs in the real world; Just goes to show how much difference good timing can make to ones portfolio

squidd - 25 Aug 2005 02:08 - 136 of 1525

After being burned by the dot-com boom, I nowadays usually sell half on a double or sell all when the rise shows signs of faltering. This policy has served me very well with many recovery stocks including SEO, TED and GMC. But in the case of ULT, I'm hanging on to the lot I think; some of the scenarios that can be imagined for a global roll out of ULT's CBT would buy that blue water yacht, and what about the big pharmas who are fretting about the safety of their tranquillisers, they could buy up ULT out of petty cash. I'm just going to hang on and see what Xmas brings.

squidd - 26 Aug 2005 11:09 - 137 of 1525

It looks as though the short termers are jumping ship; surely a buying opportunity for us longer term holders.

grandadg90 - 26 Aug 2005 11:18 - 138 of 1525

i added this morning

WOODIE - 26 Aug 2005 11:30 - 139 of 1525

anything below 2p on a long term view is a buying opportunity

pension271 - 26 Aug 2005 11:33 - 140 of 1525

Also due to the long break - some settling out and in - taken advantage and added some 1m through TDW.
