Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Fundamentalist - 25 Feb 2005 21:13 - 1381 of 24230

Brock

thanks for your kind words - having had a little time to cool down it is now clear that the sensible option is just to revise the original application - the reasons for refusal are quite minor - if i actually appeal the decision it will extend the likely timescale too much

planning is a frustrating process that i know too well - the problem this time is that the planner who i having been liasing with recommending approving the plans, hence it came as a surprise when it was declined - the officer declined it in association with the highways dept!!! now as for flatpack - an area of my expertise (i have basic carpentry skills and have put together so many flat packs for friends/relatives the last few years)

still - time for a drink i feel - a nice cold glass of chablis premier cru i feel would be in order - care to join me?

brockman - 25 Feb 2005 21:26 - 1382 of 24230

Absolutely Fundi, re the chablis,

but if you feel an appeal is a sure bet and quite a lot are, go for it, only you know, so it's a personal decision and I know you have been waiting a long time. I guess it's a matter of equation so I leave that to you. Feel free to e-mail if it's not going the right way.

Still gonna hold you to flat pack furniture :o)

Brocks

optomistic - 26 Feb 2005 19:22 - 1392 of 24230

Hello Choccy, not many around today. Is it Saturday night on the town for you? I'm having a quiet night in, probably watch Harry Potter video tonight. But right now will settle for a Guinness and a chat with anyone who's about........feet up in the corner next to the fire.

This_is_me - 26 Feb 2005 19:23 - 1393 of 24230

Can Chavski lose 3 games in a row and in the process crash out of three competitions?

optomistic - 26 Feb 2005 19:30 - 1394 of 24230

TIM, I'm lost there, it sounds like chess but if it is it's not my area, hope someone pops in to pursue the subject. Or is it tennis :-/

chocolat - 26 Feb 2005 19:38 - 1395 of 24230

Should've been, opto - but for some reason I've ended up cleaning up after the plumber for the last hour...and I've just spent 10 minutes looking for the cat. I could hear her, and I was a bit worried because I've just been putting the groceries away (she has a habit of leaping into fridges).

Anyway, she was under the floorboards...don't ask.

optomistic - 26 Feb 2005 19:44 - 1396 of 24230

Choccy, it could be worse, my neighbour's daughter lost a guinea pig in the cavity wall, took a while for it to come out...you just have to wait, after all what else can you do. Under the floor boards.. I must remain curious :-)

Socrates - 26 Feb 2005 20:34 - 1397 of 24230

I once lost a pound coin in a trice, I couldn't even find the trice, let alone the pound coin.

optomistic - 26 Feb 2005 20:47 - 1398 of 24230

Hard to find a good trice now Socs, something to do with the EU it is said.

chocolat - 26 Feb 2005 20:48 - 1399 of 24230

Try finding a ten bob note, Socks ;)

That reminds me, opto - a friend of mine trod on her guinea pig once - she never got a second chance. :(

optomistic - 26 Feb 2005 20:48 - 1400 of 24230

Hope you retrieved your cat Choccy, you have gone very quiet.
