CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

bloodhound - 12 May 2004 11:20 - 1481 of 1924

It has been on the CMS website and also on Finextra

Biscuit - 12 May 2004 11:44 - 1482 of 1924

I saw it on the CMS website, when you look on here though (MoneyAM) nothing shows up?? You'd think they'd want people to know?

Biscuit/Bloodhound,

This is a PR release which is not covered by our RNS feed - hence the fact that it did not appear on the site.

If CMS has earnings of 3p for 2005 and is on a pe of 20 the share will have to
rise an average of 2.25p per month. Sounds good to me.

Bloodhound cms are going to have to announce quite a few more TDI contacts to acheive this figure. And at this rate well be lucky to be in profit. Its been nearly 14 months since the last significant contract.Although i beleive long term they will acheive profitability, it could well be many years a lot longer than we anticipate. The market fully expected further contracts to have been signed by now, why are they not coming through, well perhaps other exchanges are happy with there present suppliers and upgrading their software. Its going to be very tough to get exchanges to switch. I am now fully invested and will be prepared to give them until the end of 2004 to start delivering on new contracts. This will then be almost 2 years since CBOT contract.IF TDI is that good then i would have expected another contract to have been delivered within 2 years.

momentum,

I have now followed your "bear" column for some time & I dont find it funny. Now in my experience, people play the stockmarket to make money. You have stated in previous posts that you hold a significant chunk of this stock.

I don't believe that! You're either short (if that's even possible in this stock!), or you don't hold any! Simple as that! Because the other option is that you like losing money in talking down your own portfolio! (& I think you're smarter than that!)

So bit of honesty Stephen? What are your views on the CMSWebview the COMPANY!!!!???? Not the share price, the graph, the trendline etc etc...THE COMPANY!

Its sales, earnings, products management team???? Not the piddly little graphs you follow down the hill!!

Are you with us in this stock as an OWNER or not?

My view on the recent news is that its very positive.

Corporate Synergy are a new broking house trying to take business from the big boys. They don't want egg on their faces.

Perhaps, we should be "comfortable" with their earnings forecasts, given that they know the company better than most of us do?

My targets would remain around 20pence for 04, rising to 60pence in 05.

DWT, Dealing with Technology exhibition is next Thursday, with CMSWebview exhibiting.

A very impressive array of tech companies on display including Reuters. Needless to say, a few business cards are likely to be exchanged at that technology show to say the least.

These are exciting times for this company. R & D phase is complete and sales phase is now in full swing.

I think profits will be achieved much sooner and grown at a rate much faster than the market is currently pricing.

I do think current valuation is a "joke" ie. way out of line with both where the company is at, in its development and indeed ignoring the HUGE cushion that the cash pile offers.

Stripping out cash, this company is now valued at just over 2 times sales!!

Statusquo, yes i do hold a largest chuck of stock. Long term i am bullish, it could be a cracking small cap company. Short term i am bearish purely from a TA point of view. Above i was mearly stating in a round about way that business is very very tough out there and we should be aware of that. You are right you wouldnt be able to short these shares and i wouldnt, to risky a TDI contract could send these shares up 100%.Corporate synergy imho have been a joke so far and there targets way to bullish. However i am not prepared to leave my investment in cms if they dont make 1 or 2 TDI contracts this year. If they do then i could possibly still be with you in 3-5 years. As well as investing med to long term i also trade therefore i can often have two points of view both short and long. Take for example Imagination Technology Long term Mega bullish .just recently quite bearish purely on charts, however im starting to turn bullish again short term. When CMS break 12-14p on the upside and the charts turn bullish i shall be bullish.

momentum his other name on adufn is wombled. He is posting similar messages on
there

momentum - 15 May 2004 09:04 - 1494 of 1924

Dont use and never have used advfn, use iii under the nick name the straddle. Some of you guys should take a look at TA and use it along with fundamentals. It will certainly help u identify short term movements. A lot of shares in which i hold long term position i also trade short term movements. CMS at present is not a trading stock. Spread to wide / micro cap stock.

thestatusquo - 15 May 2004 19:58 - 1495 of 1924

The market has yet to appreciate another TDI contract from Chicago, but its there for all to see now. Prob worth around 500k-750k.

If thats what Bob Antell was being coy about announcing with last set of results coz the ink wasn't dry at the time, then I appreciate his professionalism. I think we should all take our hats off to this little companys' management, in what they have achieved. A 6mio micro-cap providing services now to CBOT, the Merc, and DOW JONES.

Time rewards good companies. Profitability looks closer than before. This stock will trade much higher in due course.

Consolidation hasn't even been mentioned. If TDI is/becomes industry standard, and is picked up by Reuters, Bloomberg etc....

This is a screaming BUY, on a 12,24 and 36 month view.

Canny investors will be "pound-cost-averaging" by buying these shares either monthly or twice monthly over the coming year, to average out purchase price.

Statusquo is the dow jones a new TDI contract, or just a small addition to the original contract.Imho this is how the market sees it, cosequently no RNS.

AndrewThomson77 - 16 May 2004 14:45 - 1497 of 1924

Just as a general question, when is something suitable for RNS and when is it not?

thestatusquo - 17 May 2004 17:13 - 1498 of 1924

momentum,

You're bearishness on this stock is now well established, even though you are a "large investor".

I'm confused.

Buy, Sell or hold???

TSQ.

momentum - 17 May 2004 20:38 - 1499 of 1924

short term Hold. First time ive really invested fairly heavily into a micro cap stock, and find the inactivety quite frustrating. Did really appreciate how little these companies are followed.

Press release
18 May 2004 - CMS WebView plc (CMS) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Klein to the newly-created senior executive position of Director, North American Operations in CMS's new USA office in Chicago.

Kurt Klein, 51, joins CMS from market data consulting firm Market Data Integrators LLC, which he founded in 2003. With over 19 years' experience at

executive management level in the financial technology industries, Kurt's previous roles have included Senior Vice President at Hyperfeed Technologies and both Vice President Product Management & Business Development and Vice President Sales & Marketing at FutureSource Inc.

In his new position at CMS, Kurt will take overall responsibility for sales and marketing activity in the USA, reporting directly to Bob Antell, Chief Executive of CMS. Specifically, this will include the ongoing management of existing customer relationships, including those with Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and the identification of new business opportunities for TDI within the exchange and banking technology sectors in the USA.

TDI is a modular suite of software that is used to collect, process and redistribute large amounts of real-time financial data, which has been adopted by prestigious financial institutions such as the CBOT, the London Metal Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

In December 2003, CMS raised 2.5 million in new funding to finance its international and UK expansion.

Kurt Klein, Director, North American Operations, said:

'The new position with CMS in Chicago provides me with a really enticing strategic challenge. I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time for the company and believe that TDI's clear benefits will offer market data technicians at banks and exchanges an elegant service solution to their complex financial data management needs.'

Bob Antell, Chief Executive of CMS WebView, said:

'Having already secured the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange as key retained TDI clients in the US, we see the USA as ripe for further penetration. Our target sectors are international banks as well as exchanges, where the handling of vast tracts of financial data requires highly sophisticated software systems, such as TDI provides.

'The hiring of Kurt, with his tremendous contacts and experience, is something of a feather in our cap and we are delighted that he is joining us to help drive US growth.'
