You're not one of Romans henchmen are you ?

Oakapples142 - 28 Nov 2012 11:21 - 1522 of 6918

A New stadium, £ 1 billion investment, top class players for 9 years, and every possible trophy - so what have the "Romans" done for us !!

Chris Carson - 28 Nov 2012 12:08 - 1523 of 6918

At what cost? Abramovich has employed nine managers in nine years as Chelsea owner. You must be so proud :O) Good quiz question for the anoraks, how long did it take Man U to match that enviable feat? (Answer 74 years)

Stan - 28 Nov 2012 13:43 - 1524 of 6918

Back to the more creditable league, After securing a magnificent 3 pts away to 4th from top Hull (and preventing them from even scoring), The ever increasingly impressive Clarets take a point from our bogey ground Oakwell... So that's 4 more promotion away pts secured in the last 2 away matches (promotion form or what?) Other clubs must be quaking in their boots I think you'll agree? -):

CC,

Some could argue that 3 league titles, 4 FA Cups, 2 league cups, 2 Community Shields and (not forgetting) 1 of those fancy cups with the big ears in nine years makes them worth their weight in managers.

And how many trophies have Everton won with just one manager during that time exactly? Maybe you should think about changing Moyes so that you can win something. :)

Chris Carson - 28 Nov 2012 18:06 - 1526 of 6918

Bloody hell H where u bin :O) Your quite right of course EFC have won jack shit with one manager for the last ten years, but then we haven't got a Russian billionaire behind us either. Or a dodgy Spanish centre forward thank God :O) Moyes has worked wonders for the last nine years on a shoe string keeping the team in the top half year after year. Until a buyer comes along that sadly will remain the case. Beggers belief that a manager who led your team to win a FA Cup and of course the one with the big ears (lucky or otherwise) should be sacked, what's that all about? Good luck with The Fat Spanish Waiter by the way, me thinks it will be him laughing all the way to the bank at the end of the season.

Joe Say - 29 Nov 2012 07:19 - 1527 of 6918

you reckon he'll last that long ?

he'll be gone ahead of his time imo.

And I know facts aren't appreciated on this board but the clubs across europe who've bagged the most trophies have coincidentally a far higher turnover of managers - and we all know the odd exception to that

PS - and a 7.5 yr drought at the effiminates is hardly one to add to your loyal manager list argument is it ?

Chris Carson - 29 Nov 2012 08:12 - 1528 of 6918

Aye Alex Ferguson. Maybe Wenger should be nicknamed 'The Accountant' he has the money available to him just seems adverse to spending it :O)

Some could argue hils that "buying" trophies renders them worthless in the eyes of true football fans , with Chelsea's money imo Moyes would have won twice that.

Sh*t will hit the fan wen he gets bored and the signs are that he already is. At least Man U got a youth policy (and I can't stand them either).

Dil - 30 Nov 2012 01:17 - 1530 of 6918

Oi boing boing , one away match a year no one should lose and you blow it.

Cheers !

Stan - 02 Dec 2012 11:07 - 1531 of 6918

Everyone getting ready for the big one then http://www.bbc.co.uk/5livesportsextra

Dil - 03 Dec 2012 23:01 - 1532 of 6918

10 out of 10 .... that's us not your lot Stan :)

Stan - 04 Dec 2012 08:58 - 1533 of 6918

Make the most of it Dil old son.. cause you'll need all the points you can get once the Dyche really gets going -):

Dil - 04 Dec 2012 10:44 - 1534 of 6918

Hearing rumours that your striker may be on our shopping list for January Stan.

We lost Maynard our summer signing from West Ham after 3 games and looks like he's out for the season and manager has been promised big money to spend if we're in the top six come January.

Cameron Jerome is the other name being mentioned.

Stan - 04 Dec 2012 12:30 - 1535 of 6918

Well if "big money" is offered he will go.. How much actually have you got then? -):

As good as Charlie has been as this level we have such depth in the goal scoring area I think we can afford to let him go.. at a price of course. That is unless our Directors feel that we could get up this season, Think they may see how the Dyche does until Xmas and then make a decision, but so far so good.

Dil - 05 Dec 2012 02:24 - 1536 of 6918

Serious Stan ... millions as long as we're in top six Jan 1st.

Not convinced about Charlie being the best option myself but we really do need a striker and losing Maynard 3 games into the season was a big blow.

Other option is to take a Prem League striker on loan or someone like Robbie Keane playing in the US.

It's sh*t or bust this season , we don't get promoted then we could be the next Portsmouth.

... and I guess we can rely on your support Friday Stan (7.45 Sky Sports) :-)

Stan - 05 Dec 2012 09:04 - 1537 of 6918

The feeling amongst most of us is that Charlie will go in Jan, just a matter of who to. The fact that he has scored so many goals is even more remarkable when you consider that he has been up front on his own for the most part even at home at times. For him to be really successful a winger who can cross the ball well will be a must at his next club if he is going to be a hit with them.

I can confirm that you will "not" repeat not be able to rely on us "one bit" in April or any other bl--ding month! -):

Dil - 05 Dec 2012 10:00 - 1538 of 6918

You supporting Blackburn Friday then ???

Yeah right , about as likely as me wishing Swansea good luck :-)

Stan - 05 Dec 2012 10:31 - 1539 of 6918

As usual with the teams above I will be looking for a point out of the system so a draw is my preference.. or a stuffing for one side or another and a few sending off's preferably -):

Dil - 06 Dec 2012 10:48 - 1540 of 6918
