THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hays.

"She said that there had been a number of similar high profile cases."

You knew her I didn't.

It wouldn't be the first time I am wrong.

But I don't think either of us think very highly of many individuals, some of whom are involved in "charities" and other areas of work.

In general, l I think such cases should be exposed"prosecuted" if they are at a significant level and if the actions are done knowingly.

I think the thing about the latest tory "Charity Tax" debacle, and the mounting U-turns, is that I think that Cameron and others in the party previous jobs were as PR men and presentation was their game.

I thought that job entailed presenting information to the public in a way that they would swallow it.

Cameron and Osborne present policies to the public and then asks for help from the cabinet to modify them to present to his own party.

I can see why they left their previous jobs, probably, nobody would hire them.

I only wish they would do some other jobs than the ones they are doing now.

PS.

By PR, I didn't mean per rectum.

I thought this was the David Cameron Thread or Fred ? lol

Dreams,

Definitely a good look alike of the Cameroon and the surveillance state that he is trying to create.

Again, what he ignores is that he is also being observed. (UggHH)

I laughed when I hear he was "telling" the local electors not to vote Labour councillors because they were incompetent.

This cabinet is not only detached from the "public", but reality as well.

What is he going to do, now that Rebecca has deserted him. Flog a dead horse.

Fred re surveillance state, nobody promoted that more than labour, if they had been elected we would now be forced to allow access to our homes by the council at their whim. That said, Cameron, Clegg and co have been abysmal.

Cleric Abu Qatada arrested again

Radical cleric Abu Qatada has been arrested and told the Home Office will try to deport him, the BBC understands.

He is expected to appear at the Special Immigration Appeals Commission on Tuesday afternoon, when the home secretary will update MPs on his case.

This shows that he lost support of his supporters. He is going to be lonely...

Anyway, inflation has not been that bad, I&J and GS beat estimates - J&J 1Q profit jumps 12.5 pct

Dow future is above 13000.
If Apple hold around these levels or recover a bit, shorts will be in trouble.

I think the next thing is house price rise in the US. I see Fannie Mae sell price has risen from 0.32 to 0.5 on no news. The holders are not selling.
When is the data out?
