Stanelco Plc (``Stanelco'' or ``the Company'') -- STARPOL 3000 Moves towards Full Commercialization
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2006--Stanelco Plc (LSE:SEO), the radio frequency applications group, is pleased to announce that its joint owned subsidiary Biotec has successfully overcome the final technical hurdles to full commercialization in the development of its revolutionary STARPOL 3000 biodegradable, rigid material.
STARPOL 3000 is a multi layer material that produces a clear plastic type material from a combination of starch materials. This material can be produced at a discount to conventional plastic materials such as APET and Polypropylene. It exhibits high gas barrier properties and is produced from 100% sustainable materials, is entirely suitable for most packaging applications and could revolutionize the plastics market. It can be thermoformed easily, can be supplied in a range of colors and unlike conventional plastics is not susceptible to oil price fluctuations.
The company is engaged in substantive commercial negotiations with a number of large end users including some of the world's biggest companies and with several converters who will be considering Micro Manufacturing Facility contracts around STARPOL 3000. Each MMF will contribute approximately GBP 4 million per annum per 20,000 ton licence plus a small percentage of end product sale price.
The level of interest and the support we are receiving from some of the world's biggest companies affirms Stanelco's view that no other company in the world is able to compete with STARPOL 3000 and it is envisioned that this material will soon become an environmentally and cost effective alternative to APET and Polypropylene (PP).
The revolutionary material can be used for most packaging scenarios where clear plastic is required and has enormous market opportunities. The market that it will be replacing is in the magnitude of millions of tons and this market will be entered into by a substantial number of micro manufacturing plants that will enable converters to manufacture their own resin, thereby ensuring their supply of material and also adding value to their supply chain.
The product has zero petroleum content, and its pricing into the market is determined solely by the price of plastic and bears no relation to manufacturing cost. Therefore the initial pricing will be targeted at approx 10% less than current plastic material in substantial quantity and this will then track the price of APET/PP.
Martin Wagner, Chief Executive of Stanelco, commented: "We are very excited about the potential of our STARPOL 3000 product. Having passed through these final technical tests, we will be moving at pace towards full commercialization and the interest levels from end users and converters has been immense."

I am actually going to Southampton on early thursday morning and then have free time for the rest of the day. Not sure I can just wander in, firing questions, despite holding a fair number of shares.
I rather think I will be referred to the Shareholder Relations part of their Website.
Thoughts, anyone?

So PM1 is vindicated on the Tyson + WMT tip, I hope Oblomov and Bosley can handle that, rather than continue using his name to try and back up their own negative position.
If they continue to have a problem with him, even though he isn't even here, then other posters will likely see them as needing therapy.
I have met PM1, he is a very nice chap, and he has spent hours every day for 3 years researching SEO, then passes that research onto others for free, that is why he has a big following, not for any of the reasons that Oblomov and Bosley use to try and discredit him behind his back.
Have a good day :)

JJS,
I don't think Oblo is either negative or trying to discredit PM1 behind his back. neither is Bos.
Bos is a very shrewd observer, and has made his choice on his investments and the best of luck to him. Oblo is committed to SEO, but like us all can be very cynical of the news that eminates from them. History has taught us all this.
PM1 needs no assistance in being discredited. He has a long track record of some excellent research, and a certain amount of "non-public" knowledge. His record also shows that his extrapolation of this knowledge and research is wildly optomistic to the point of blatent ramping (though I'm not sure thats his actual motive).
He has also been guilty of posting research that is so far removed from anything that could impinge on SEO as to be laughable. So forgive us all if we have a wry smile on our faces when we read a PM1 comment.

You didn't believe that, did you?!
No disrespect to ssanebs, whose posts I have no doubt are made with total honesty and are genuine, but JJS just because someone posts something on a BB beginning with 'I can confirm...' that doesn't necessarily mean it is fact. I'm pleased you enjoyed your meeting with PM1 - I've read accounts of people who met the Kray twins and apparently they were nice chaps too! (And before you accuse me I'm not putting PM1 in the same category as them!).
I'm sure it is a possibility that representatives from Tyson, Walmart and many other fine U.S. companies are in the UK at the moment - I expect they always are for one reason or another. But until some deals are signed and some cash comes in it doesn't mean any more than any of the other SEO PR we've become used to over the past few years.
And the SP so far today - well, after the Lord Mayors show!
Now I'm off for a break for a week or so. Nothing more from me for a while.

Bos,
Wasn't knocking you and do respect your views, was simply a complete shock to see you so anti when you had be quite pro. I have certainly tried to see a significant downside to SEO and still can't as yet although I only entered in Feb 2005 and expect this to be at least a 3 year play.
That said, fro you entry point of ~3.5p 3 years ago you would still have made at least 300% profit, which is no bad thing.
In any event, good luck.

This certainly not a share for the fainthearted but with Walmart saying to are going to use corn based packaging-with one US head of packaging saying SEO a worldleader in 3 out of 5 categories-with Walmart and Tyson visiting UK I can only be optimistic about this baby although I wish it stopped crawling and started to walk

Three more days for the SP to get up a head of steam towards AGM time, things could get even more interesting.
Good to see EVO backing up the Wal*Mart+Tyson story, well done to ssanebs for taking the time to check, rather than hurl abuse and try and discredit the source like some (as usual), pity those that didn't listen when the story was Emailed by PM1 on Monday, will they ever learn ?

For Oilywag
Will lighten up now. As for attending - good point. Unfortunately, I live up in the Highlands of Scotland presently, and my business can't afford me the time to attend. As a result I would be grateful if you would ask the qestions on my behalf. With your antlers (with horns) I'm sure that they daren't refuse you.

Due to the MM's automatic trades droping the sp, duping punters to sell before the good news next week, in order to sell them back at a higher price.
