Does anyone know where the FSA (or any other body) stand wrt the misleading of investors. Looking back over the last 18 months to 2 years at what SEO have said / indicated regarding Greenseal particularly around ASDA now looks either hopelessly optimistic or a complete pack of lies given the lack of info. in today's statement which now sounds very much like a precursor to bad news!

i've had a few hours to digest the news . Was dissappointed.
However, after reflection It's pretty much what I expected. Have e-mailed seo regarding a proper update re greenseal and asda, await reply.
Unless that turns into a complete donkey then nothings changed. the products and potential are there.
The MAJOR investments have been made and cash is only needed to see through to fruition.
Guess its just a matter of waiting for the jam.
as ever optimistic.LOL its only my money going down the pan.

It would be nice to see some Directors/ The CEO buying in, now that the share price is at a bargain and they are probably out of the closed period?? Or have they got no faith in themselves or SEO? I'm not selling, as far as I'm concerned it's sh*t or bust now.

angus I agree with you, I would also like to see some directors buying in now and in big quantities not the odd 5000 here and there. Their lack of buying is one of the things that worries me, particulary those recent appointments who presumably have jumped dhip elsewhere to join SEO.

If I saw directors buying, this would make me even more suspicious. If they know that deals are on the cusp (their words from the recent AGM) they would be buying with inside knowledge.
Not trying to tart up the results, just looking at facts.

"Technical trials have been successfully completed on Multivac and Proseal
packaging machines at three major food packers for the Greenseal project"
I suppose the COMMERCIAL trials will be next!
So much for the naiive assertion that the first GS commercial placement would be within 8 weeks, which elapsed two weeks ago.

Many dirs bought-in arround 2.9p (remember then?), so it's unlkiely they will buy at these higher prices ...these are very small shares, so you need to own a lot to make anything IF/When the dividend comes round.
All those expecting to be rich had better realise that when a dividend is declared there will be a possibility to value what sp is right - and it may be closer to 2.9p than the current price.
Yes, I know a price is what the Market will pay - but at some point you have to ask "What will SEO make as Profit? "
The likes of ASDA do not pay Lots for produce, so even less for packaging - it's way down there with wages for toilet-staff. So SEO is not going to be a multi-bagger, based on real profits. (Maybe only Hope, Huh?)
Greekman is spot-on: Dir can only buy when they know there is Nothing to Report....that they are in protracted negotiations means you just have to be patient....but it also means they "might" just know that their Options are a lot more valuable than buying a handful of tiny shares.....the longer (any) Directors can protract the real News (like an Order) the longer the airy-fairy days exist where Punters will pay almpost whatever the last-man paid plus a bit...
Just one order stops that, as you can see the life (or lack) in a business...can these exces turn Ideas into Profits?
(I have a notional holding from higher times.)

Incidently I only take notice when a Director buys 50k+worth; anything less is not sufficiently serious.... and may show the Co will be asking for money - but small "buys" can fool the market into believing x-pence is fair-value. It rarely is IMHO.

A lot of Investers in SEO have been holding them for years and have fallen in love with them, what do they say? love is blind. This company as been ramping the shares with their news updates ever since Greenseal, how many machines have they sold/converted ? around 7, people were talking of 100's and 1,000 if Wal mart gave them a contract, best to wait untill they get cash flow before buying.

Chaps/Chapesses, I bailed out of here last year at 19p. Still can't believe this stock gets so much attention yet drifts so painfully down down down. I sincerely hope it comes good for you longer term holders but surely your cash is better served elsewhere.
I felt somewhat married to this stock then (when it was making me money!), but some of you guys have real tenacity here. Don't think I've come across such blind loyalty to an old dog! Joking aside I think there is still good potential here but my cash is elsewhere until I see a buck to this awful trend. Shouldn't you do the same?

Just back from an extended stay in London, havent had time to pay much attention to SEO or any others for that matter. Disappointing statement, yes undoubtedly BUT certainly not one to get too upset about! It did surprise me to see them make an amendment:- 'Loss before taxation of 2,337,000 (2005: 1,000,000)' and not 'Loss before taxation of 2,100,000
(2005: 960,000)'; theyd had enough time to get that right!!.
For sure it did begin to look as though the hold up in the issue of the interims was to allow time to give stunning news, but folks seem to be stunned by something else! It was probably just to give the new FD time to settle in, but who knows?
The important things are still there for SEO:-
Starpol 2000 selling successfully into US marketplace and Starpol 3000 awaiting food contact approvals
Selection by Wal Mart into their Sustainable Value Network
Continued progress towards commercialisation of GREENSEAL technology with successful trials completed with 3 major food packers.
No contracts visible yet but they are still part of Wal-Marts plans. Installing GreenSeal machines must surely take a bit of doing, they are BIG machines!, it may take some serious reorganising to fit them in, may be a bit of building work? Just guessing but it could be another reason for a hold up in SEOs plans.
A close partnership has been established with Perseco U.S. to advance the commercialisation of Stanelco's sustainable technologies.
To advance the commercialisation - nothing negative about that.
Development of Starpol 3000 (100% sustainable and biodegradable) is complete. - That looks positive to me.
Adept Polymers
We have invested in equipment to enable us to develop the cigarette filter trials and, with our advisers, we are continuing to evaluate the market opportunities. We are currently in the process of manufacturing samples of filters. - interesting, seems to be a bit of a change of direction here, there must be interested parties, no smoke without fire and all that!
End statements:-
We have developed strong partnerships and key relationships with leading organisations.
We are confident that our intellectual property portfolio will in time bring environmental benefits to both the packaging industry and the consumer and as a result enhance shareholder value
'Our business operates in a fast moving and exciting space. The world-wide packaging industry is fast waking up to the need for new solutions and products that are environmentally friendly whist being cost effective and practical. WE REMAIN AT THE FOREFRONT OF THIS REVOLUTION.'
- that all sounds very positive!
Go on, say youve heard it all before and of course yes, we have, there are a few more additives this time but I cannot see anywhere in SEOs report a statement saying Fooled you all, we are really an absolute pile of crap with no future; all our products are pie in the sky and will be forgotten about in 12 months time!!!!
Riders mount up, weve got a bumpy journey ahead!
