Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.
Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.
Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).
Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.
The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.
People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

I think the drop is probably linked to the IC's "high enough" comment last week. People locking in profits - perfectly reasonable after a 30+% increase over the last few weeks. But, they'll probably regret it if there are further announcements - as there will inevitably be. After all they've only confirmed 4 out of the top ten targets. At least 6 more to come ;)

More excellent good news from SPS with the 5th targeted 'Top Ten' global Network Operator signed!

SUPERSCAPE PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BRINGS GAMES TO 5TH NETWORK OPERATOR ON LIST OF
TOP TEN TARGETED OPERATORS
Tuesday 3rd August 2004, Hook, Hampshire, UK: Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS),
the leader in revolutionary entertainment for mobile phones, announces a
partnership to bring its games to the fifth of the company's top ten targeted
network operators. The games will be available on the new network over the
course of the next few weeks.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: 'This is an important win for
Superscape as we continue our focus on signing agreements and partnerships to
distribute our games on all top ten targeted operators. The total number of
subscribers being served, by the combination of our top ten targeted operators
and Superscape's partnership strategy covering an additional sixty plus
operators, is over one billion subscribers worldwide.
Roberts continued, ' Global wireless gaming revenue was approximately $1.1
billion in 2003 and is expected to grow to $8.4 billion in 2008. Wireless
carriers are increasingly launching and promoting wireless entertainment
applications to differentiate their services and drive revenues. Superscape is
ideally positioned, through its approved industry-standard technology and
portfolio of high-profile branded mobile games, to have a clear first to market
advantage in the 3D mobile gaming market.'

Buy some more then, EVO says a price target of 42p, I'm sure this is the sicth operator they've signed, possibly one is outside of the top ten. Expect continous news over the next four months with confirmations of further manufacturer deals, the other 9 operators not yet signed, confirmation of the six already signed, further game deals, handset deals etc. Can you afford not to be in it. Does anyone know how much they get for a game on an embedded phone, with this info it should be pretty easy to generate expected baseline revenues, I think EVO's are way to small given the growth in the industry as a whole.

Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS), leaders in revolutionary entertainment for
mobile phones, announces win number seven on its targeted top fifteen list of
network operators. Superscape mobile games, through both direct and indirect
distribution agreements, are now becoming available on sixty-seven networks
serving consumers in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The
company's portfolio of games numbers twenty-five 3D and sixteen 2D titles either
completed or under development, with new high-profile brands being added every
quarter.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: 'This new European operator
network distribution agreement is a significant win for Superscape. The more
network operators we sign up, the more Superscape games we publish and the more
consumers able to download our games, the more royalty revenues we will
generate. Now that our games are becoming available on a number of networks
around the world, the revenues from every single game downloaded by every single
consumer are beginning to flow for Superscape.'
Revenue generated from mobile gaming in 2003 was $ 1.1b globally and is forecast
to grow to $8b by 2007.
Roberts continued: 'This is the mass-market opportunity for Superscape. The
top tier network operators represent approximately 80% of the global mobile
gaming revenue. The number of agreements we have with these operators to date
is a clear endorsement of their enthusiasm for Superscape's portfolio of high
profile IP games and their appreciation of the significant contribution these
will make to driving new revenue streams.'
Superscape's four quadrants focus which sees it reaching agreements with
additional network operators, handset manufacturers, technology companies and
leading entertainment organisations is well on track, according to Roberts, and
further announcements will be made over the course of the next weeks
Comment: This company has announced more deals recently than any other company of its size on the market with nerarly half of the worlds largest phone network companies signed up and the market just hasn't given it any credit. Tthe games are going live about now including the far greater than expected number of 2d games. If any one of these sells then revenues will be far greater than the market was ever going to predict! Work it out, a market of $8bn by 2007 and SPS is the only company selling games through a minimum of 7 of the world top 15 network comapnies.

I couldnt agree with you more, I was just picking up the thread to make a similar comment . The price is now the same as before any of the announcements on signing up seven out of the top fifteen network operators.I thought the potential for this share was amazing , and still do....another ASOS? I reckon

PS I believe the real lift off weill come when SPS start reporting they are converting these agreements into revenue and profits increases. I guess until then the market will view comments as partially hype.

Willfag. I agree that the market needs to see some revenues but the deals this company are signing are just phenomenal. There is no other company in the world in the same position as SPS with a market compound growth rate that is just huge. Commentators view SPS as having to achieve only 1% of the market to have a massive impact on the SP but who else is there that is signing the same deals as SPS. My only worry is that a hostile takeover must be being looked at by the americans given the number of recent issues for 3d gaming companies in the US and these are startups with none of the pedigree of SPS. I just can't see any other company that is going to grow as fast as SPS and I think that it will even make ASOS performance seem small fry. Of course, DYOR but just look at the announcements made. Finally, announcements over the next few weeks are going to happen, the beauty of this share is that it is run by a competent management team who do what they say (contrast this with earthport for a laugh!), the news flow should really be impressive!

I think we agree about the huge potential, but we must assume that not everyone else has caught on to it yet or the share price would be flying, thus my comments that many people will want to see actual revenue streams before they will part with their cash.

SUPERSCAPE ANNOUNCES 8TH TARGETED NETWORK OPERATOR CONTRACT:
GROWING LIST OF WINS INCLUDES MAJORITY OF TOP TIER OPERATORS
Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS), leaders in revolutionary entertainment for
mobile phones, announces win number eight on its targeted top fifteen list of
network operators. As a result of both direct and indirect agreements with
operators, Superscape's games are now becoming available to consumers on the
following networks: Verizon, Vodafone, Cingular, AT&T, Nextel, TMobile, China
Mobile, 02 as well as some sixty regional operators around the globe.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: 'This latest contract means
that Superscape has now won 70% of its top ten targeted operators and over 50%
of its top fifteen targeted operators. Moving forward, our focus is now on
signing distribution agreements with the remaining operators on our targeted
list and making our portfolio of high-profile games - including such titles as
Evel Knievel, Alien versus Predator , Van Helsing , AMF Bowling and Street Hoops
- available to an ever-greater number of consumers worldwide.'
Superscape is continuing to expand its games portfolio and negotiations are well
advanced with a number of leading entertainment organisations who are keen to
extend the reach of their brands via the rapidly growing market for mobile
games. Recent reports forecast that the revenue from mobile gaming will reach
$8 billion by 2007.
Roberts continued: 'Our games are increasingly being recognised as 'best of
breed' in the mobile industry, as evidenced both by the number of top tier
operators with whom we have signed distribution agreements and the volume of
consumer downloads for our games. I am very encouraged by our progress to date.
Comment: a lot of buying today and last Friday which is not particularly good as the news had obviously been leaked from SPS. However, the list of of agreements is impressive as are the compatible handsets, there is a posting on ample with all details. ADVFN also states that the company is in a close period at the moment but highlights the paragraph above pointing to the volume of consumer downloads which gives a broad hint at good progress. At the end of the day, consumers are now buying superscapes products, miracle really isn't it! It is now just going to be a guessing game of how big this industry really is, with decent press, 3d games on mobiles could be the craze for xmas as it has the mass market appeal and the operators will be pushing the products like fury as they are revenue generating!

This morning Superscape have announced the 9th distribution agreement with a company but why are they not saying which company? I believe this happened with the 8th agreement. Companies who have this sort of news usually say who the other party is. Is it a big company or a tiddler? Why hide it? If they stop naming then how are we supposed to know it's true?
I do have a few SPS shares but not sure whether to get more as they are missing out a few important details in announcements.

You know it's true because they can't lie, they're fully listed. They don't announce the name due to confidentiality agreements, common place in a cut and thrust industry like telecoms. surprised that the SP hasn't moved up though, time to stock up as nine out of the top 15 is some performance, the market is definitely missing this one at the mo but that's not so bad if you want some more!

Nice to see IC give a stupid reason for holding SPS shares, apparently churlish! This is despite the fact that they have totally called the company wrong, their initial reason for not buying SPS was due to a lack of revenues when the SP was higher than it is now. Today they list all of the operators selling superscapes games and say hold because the house brokers hasn't increased its forecasts, what a load of clap trap although completely consistent for the IC. On a more positive note, the tills are now ringing for SPS and the results are not to far away, these should provide the fireworks we have been waiting for, anything above EVO's revenue estimates will be very positive. Given that MG has already stated that he is comfortable with these, I would think that they could be significantly beaten.
